Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

One at Alberta Honda in Edmonton just "became available." They wanted about $69k+GST. It's either that or if you have a trade-in, they will pay you $10k less than the actual value and you get the Type R at MSRP (isn't that just markups with extra steps?).

I told the salesperson that the max I'd be willing to pay would be $58k+GST and I'm not sure how I feel about what he replied with...Condescending? Or am I reading too much into it?

The highest vin I have seen for sale is 800096 for 2025.
So that means so far almost 100 cars have been delivered.
Hopefully another 150-200 cars will arrive next year. ??

Yea Ty man, I saw it too it's been there a while. But I also saw brand new Type S at 59000 and no one buys it, so Imma wait next year to see if there are more lower price type R, I'm not rushing and I can buy type S if I can't find a good deal type R.

I was looking at the Golf R and it's nice for what it offers, but after the Type R reveal, I changed my mind. If I went Golf R, I would have given up manual for The DSG. I wasn't ready yet lol.
