hi guys im in Vancouver, I been calling dealers all over Canada and chating with dealers for the past 2 years, its seems like those 65000-70000 type r when I asked them, they all told me the same answer, they told me like 3K paint coating and all kinds of added protection or like 5-6K added extend 8 years warranty and add all kinds of accessories, these are coming from Honda Canada. they told me this is what the car already included when the car arrived so they can't change it, everything its already added to the car its not up to the dealers. anyone knows this is pure BS or there are something I don't know, ty

I waited two years and paid MSRP BUT the dealer did add a ceramic and protection package. It came to about 3K extra. I also got a 7 year full extended warranty but it wasn’t mandatory.
I’m pretty sure there’s a SGP in Nanaimo at the Honda dealership and I think they are asking 59K, it has around 5000kms on it.

The used Type R @ChiroCale suggested I'd probably look into. It's been sitting at that price for a little while now, and they may let it go at that price without any haggling.

All those add-ons you mentioned are from the dealership. I almost wish Honda Canada was selling them directly to avoid the slimey dealership practices.

Yea Ty man, I saw it too it's been there a while. But I also saw brand new Type S at 59000 and no one buys it, so Imma wait next year to see if there are more lower price type R, I'm not rushing and I can buy type S if I can't find a good deal type R.

That dealership is in Alberta right? lol, It's just better to get one out of province if you can instead. These dealerships are a joke.
That's right. I've noticed dealers in AB are especially egregious. Had to go through this whole rigamarole when I was looking for my GRC (that I no longer own). Like you said, I'd rather get one from, say, NB and ship it here for $2-3k than deal with all the dealer games in this province lol.

Yea I give up for now. I was lucky I got my '23 GRC CE at MSRP last year, no games no haggling just straight up sign the papers and give the cheque kind of deal.

One at Alberta Honda in Edmonton just "became available." They wanted about $69k+GST. It's either that or if you have a trade-in, they will pay you $10k less than the actual value and you get the Type R at MSRP (isn't that just markups with extra steps?).

I told the salesperson that the max I'd be willing to pay would be $58k+GST and I'm not sure how I feel about what he replied with...Condescending? Or am I reading too much into it?

No PST in Alberta! That’s a perk if you’re from there!

Looks like the usual tactics from those Alberta dealerships. If they aren't willing to make a reasonable deal, I'd walk.

On a side note, looks like this is the 77th car to Canada from the production plant for MY2025
