Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

it's getting slightly dire for me... lol My daughter is going to daycare next week and I have to rely on my fam members car to drop off/pick up my daughter. Type S in the color I want is nowhere close to coming either. I just gotta be more patient though lol.

Yup, it's definitely a patience game.

I been offered a Type S a few times by the dealership and a forums members (shout out to @N4nn3r ) and family friends lol, but I think it's fair to wait at least till the end of fall next year and see what happens. Meanwhile that interest rate.....

I've noticed some dealers with markups on their "used" or flipped FL5 are pulling their sales posts. I can't imagine they're being sold, especially with winter rolling out now. Trying to hold out till next year or sell at auction maybe?

we dont know where things will be this time next year, but it seems like the interest rate wont go up for a while.
another news came out this morning saying our economy contracted by 1.1% (annualized).
I guess interest rate hike worked lol..

I was in the same boat as you last year. I had to get Kia Forte as my son started going to daycare.

Came from a family of honda lover. From the car I learned to drive (was 12 that time), to my first car purchased (tho used), to our wedding car, ALL honda. Hoping to complete it with the last ICE Type R.

Unfortunately, Wife requested to upgrade our RAV4 to GH for future and currently in GR86 list too. If the GH comes before the FL5, I’ll be on the other side and settle with GR86 + GH.

Toyota seems have gotten over the hump with their delays, at least with some of their models. What ETA did they give you for the GH and GR86?

For the gas GH, it is actually easy to get (lots of dealership in LM has it from a week ago). For the Hybrid (which what were looking for), 6months to 2 years.

Had a deposit last Sept. Surprisingly tho, we were offered Platinum Max last Oct but had to refuse as we prefer the Hybrid Limited. They have 1 Hybrid Limited incoming this Dec, which they said might be ours as we are a priority since we are repeating costumer + we are trading in our RAV4. And most of the people on list jumped to BZ4x, I think right now there is a surge of that coming from lots of dealership.
I’m not taking their words though (learned my lesson from this FL5 thing). Aaand I’d still prefer the FL5 coming first LOL.

Financed it, brand new with just 1.9% APR. Named it under my mother-in-law (sacrificial lamb ?) just incase the FL5 comes but I’m paying it for her. Still I’m laughing rn LOL, what have I done just to get this unicorn FL5…..

GH is as what I’ve replied to @ctrc2022.

For the GR86, just through searching from BC Toyota Dealerships everyday, I’ve already backed out from atleast 2-3 GR86 MT. I have 1 deposit from my local dealer though coz like what you said seems like they've gotten over the hump already and I’m not that eager.

A custom spec'd 718 gt4 had less of a wait than a type r lmao. If it doesn't show for one more year then I'll just get a better car =P
