Although this car, but fuel to the fire of the situation in Canada, but it looks like in this country it will be almost impossible to get one anybody know of a way for me to buy one in the US and bring it over, I called the dealer cross the border and they told me they cannot sell me the car as it is considered exportation and is illegal for them to do it by the rules of Honda America, if someone knows how to do it, please let me know
I imagine they only need a US driver's license or may be a perm. address in the US. If you can do that then I don't see why they wouldn't sell you one. I don't think they will be asking for SSN (may be if you're financing to get credit report) and I really doubt they wanna see your passport or citizenship.. May be look up how do Americans buy cars there cash and see what you need to get done

ITS all called for ? I mean… its a product made in USA, for the USA and Canada… nobody ever said it was going to be limited compared to the FL5 that has always been a limited edition and is sold worldwide. Pretty sure it will be much more available. Acura don’t sell enough car as a brand to not sell an ITS to everybody that wants one… TLX don’t sell well, RDX had succes but its pretty calm right now… MDX are expensive for what they are and the Integra in Canada is a terrible deal compared to an SI. Of course, not everybody will get one in June, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be as crazy as the FL5… except maybe in a few market like Vancouver where everything seems crazy these days…
I agree I don't the ITS is going to be like the FL5 situation. was told by an Acura tech it will be available to whoever wants it.. but just like with whole auto industry right now ... you are gonna have to wait a bit... I mean if you walk into an Acura today and say I want a TLX type S they'll make one for you, if it's not in stock... you might be looking at 6-8 mnths wait time though but that's just how everything is now

Locate a car that is available, purchase it from there and don’t tell them you’re sending it to Canada. Then you won’t have any issues.

My dad ordered an integra a spec (the specifications he wanted wasn't in stock) and the wait time was about 3 months
Here's hoping the ITS will be similar!

now i know this is a Toyota dealer, but i honestly think this is one of, if not the only helpful honest videos about how this rare car order process works, and this gentleman explained it fairly well...i think it will help some of us understand what's going on with FL5 situation, i think Honda and Toyota would most likely be very similar

take a look

also got the Honda newsletter the other day, take a look and see how Honda Canada seems to have set it's highest priority around EV, so that explains the lack of cars and support for the FL5 in the Canadian market, and as a country policy from federal level we are marching towards a green target

The new Integra didn't even sell well in Canada. Acura can't even keep up their sales with other premium brands. They will be killing themselves if ITS is just as rare as FL5.

Now even California dealer only mark up $5000 usd

Msrp in the states
$43295 + $1095 destination & handling
Plus $5000 mark up
Total $49390

$49390 convert to cad = $67315 cad

Still much cheaper than $80000-$88888 that Canadian dealers are asking

No ETA or details yet but it seems like the general consensus is that cars will arrive soon for most of the dealers in the lower mainland. Was told mine will be arriving in the near future
