With all the aggressive drivers out there, I'm thinking it's a good idea to add one. Video might come in handy for an accident or hit and run.

Has anyone added one to their CTR? If so can you share which brand you chose and your experience with it so far?

I added the BlackVue 970X LTE to my CTR. But I have a Fitcamx in my Tacoma.
Went with the BlackVue this time as it’s highly regarded in the dashcam scene as well as it has parking mode and auto uploads to the cloud.
fitcamx would have made for a cleaner install but I’m not quite as happy with the resolution.
install wasn’t too bad. I used Hattrk85’s videos from YouTube.

Thanks, I'll have to check them out. I want to get something that has good enough res to catch a license plate # if needed... and of course good night time performance.

I had the DR900X-2CH Plus 4K UHD-FHD installed with the detached LTE module in my FK8. There's also a non-LTE version of the DR970X-2CH Plus if you want a smaller, more discrete form factor for the front cam. Then you could just connect the external LTE module to the cameras.

Blackvue cams don't record the crispest videos (still pretty good), but I believe they have the best overall cloud solution. Vortex Radar YT channel does good reviews of dashcams, but I haven't checked them out recently.

Not sure if they made some updates and improvements since the 900 series, but a couple of zonks with these units. There should be a time delay before the car enters parking mode, since closing the door triggers the impact sensor. I think a better solution would be to use Bluetooth range with your phone to turn on/off parking mode, automatically. Also, the motion detection needs more sophisticated algorithms; it's next to useless since you're constantly receiving phone notifications from any kind of movement.

I use the Escort M1 which I have wired from my dome light which then powers my radar detector. Overall pretty easy

did it the same way he did the the radar install

If I didn’t have the radar detector I would use something like this

I would still wire it like he does the radar detector above

I’m not big on the necessity of a rear dash cam. Front is a lifesaver though and I think everyone should have one. Even with my 1080p DashCam (new ones are 4K) it saved my butt when I got T-boned in my FK8 by someone who ran a stale red (and claimed they had a green). I also was able to capture a few accidents as a witness and provide the footage to the victims and the police.

Agree - definitely useful for accidents. I provided this footage after some clumsy lady t-boned another.
