Backup plans - what's yours?

This car has to be 4 doors or there would be some other options. In Chicago proper and this is my only car, I commute from City to Suburbs where my Business is. Would love a second car some day, but have a small child and not in the cards right now.

I totally forgot about this, but have you considered a Giulia? Pretty spry RWD sedan and available with AWD.

It depends on what you want to do with it, but it's not bad on its own.

The Giulia GTAm is the best looking sedan today for me. I'd never want to own one but it's absolutely an art piece

If Toyota releases the GR86 with the GR Corolla engine, that'll probably be in the running (there're apparently some testbeds our there already, from Toyota)

Maybe they'd eliminate it and rebrand the supra as a halo car? I4 Supra goes away, there's a $34k GR86, and the 3.0 Supra gets bumped up to $55 due to inflation

That sounds pretty good to me. Makes more sense for the more "entry" car to have a few flavors than the halo car tbh. The "best" one should just be the best.

If I could afford both the FL5 and the new manual Supra, I totally would. Gotta have a backseat for my child though. Both cars are definitely going to be future classics.

Id take the 3.0 manual, and have looked at it. However, the markups are there as well. Not to mention insurance and the prospect of bmw-esque repairs in 10 years. If it was 10k cheaper I'd be all about it.
