I have tried.... but I if do not use the turn signal or even get close to the other lane it wiggles my steering wheel. It is not only irritating but feels dangerous ...Would love to turn it all the way off! Thanks
Lastly, how do you get the dome light to only come on when you open the door?

through the settings on the gauge control module with the buttons on the steering wheel. Set some light switch in middle position.

Below the left ac vent look for a button with a car surrounded by a circle. It will bring up the safety systems menu on the dash. The top one is the lane departure warning. Scroll with the right knob on the wheel and click to remove the check box. This turns it off. You can now scroll back to the return symbol to go back to whatever screen you had before.

Unfortunately this procedure must be repeated every time you start the engine.

I tried this the other day and it would not unselect. It was a bit odd.

You have to fully disable the lane keep assist option.

Put the switch to door on the dome light.

My lane keep assist doesn’t have to be turned off each time I get in the car. I did it once when I got the car and never have had to again. Are you sure about that?

Are you talking about lane departure warning (the steering giving little jerks when you go over lines) or lane keep assist (the car steering by itself to stay in your lane)?
LKA will not turn on by itself (it’s the button on the right spoke of the steering wheel). LDW turns itself on every time the car is started. I’m not in the US though, so it might be different to the EU cars.

If there is an option to permanently disable LDW I haven’t found it, but I’d be grateful to know how, because it’s a bit of a nuisance now. First thing I do after starting the car is push the button and scroll to turn the damn system off.

Sorry I was confused with lane departure and lane keep assist (thought they were the same thing)

But yes I’m talking about Lane departure. I turned mine off once and never have gotten the little steering wheel jerks again.

But I’ve never experienced the lane keep assist apparently, maybe mine was turned off when I got the car from the dealer. I guess I need to look at my system and see!

US cars allow for it to be turned off permanently, only the emergency braking turns back on automatically - which sucks as I live in a city and this has nearly caused two accidents for me already. Yesterday it panicked because there was a car in a left turn lane on a right hand curve and jammed the brakes on me as I was in a clear lane.

Two functions I wish could be turned on/off with a single dashboard button press: active safety stuff and rev-match. The safety I have down to a few button presses while driving but the rev match you need to stop and have the frickin parking brake applied.

Mentioning as I'm hoping some hero will tell me there's an easier way to turn rev-match on/off.

Interesting I haven’t had really Any trouble with mine. Yes I’ve seen it alert me to brake but never have had it actually brake for me. I have it set to the least sensitive setting.
