Paid $123,684.22 out the door, but it was worth it. They threw in all weather floor mats.
Man, you've paid too much
I only paid 72k OTD

Obviously don't bump the number up to 123k to make your argument sound better

Thats why they say money spent on experience is better than stuff because you'll always fondly remember experiences but you'll get used to stuff and they can even become headaches. But the car is new and shiny so i expect most to be excited... Overpaid or not.
To me, the buying process of FL5 was a remarkable experience.

I've been wanting this vehicle for more than a year. And the day it arrived at the dealership was probably the best day since Covid, for me and my other half.

A normal guy purchasing a car (you call it stuff) and a car enthusiast like some of us purchasing a car are very different ;)

All in all, have a wonderful day. I really hope you get whatever 'stuff' you're planning to purchase with MSRP or less!

Great car. No regrets. I don’t use it as a weekend car but a daily. Super useful interior room and volume in a fairly lightweight body. Absolutely awesome shifter and clutch feel make even the daily drive enjoyable.

The interior design is clean and neat. Exterior design is much better in person. I judge if I really like a car if I tend to look back at it as I walk away.
So far this car, my C7 GrandSport manual and Shelby GT350 are the only ones that I feel compelled to always look back. Then again have only owned the CTR for a little less than 3 weeks so will see if that changes. It did for my Widebody Challenger which quickly lost interest in after the novelty of the looks and straight line acceleration/engine note wore off.
The CTR does so many things well that I don’t think that will happen. The Challenger was a one or two trick pony at best. The car is a waayy to big, chassis waaayy to old, handling sucks and interior is uncomfortable. Exact opposite with the CTR

The FL5 is rad af. For me, as soon as they announced the 11th gen Civic and the initial renders of a potential Type R came out, I was in love. I think if you like the look it is an absolute no brainer, and frankly I think if you don’t like how this car looks there’s something wrong with you.

I’ve gone from an 04 Accord V6 which at the time was the best/nicest car I had ever owed and was then unexpectedly totaled, to a 16 Accord V6, 18 Subaru WRX, 07 Forester XT (I got pretty pumped up on Subaru for a bit), 22 Si and now the FL5 in just the last 5 years.

Short of dropping $100k+ on an RS6 Avant or some other luxury sedan, which I will probably never do, I can’t see myself wanting for anything else after 250 miles in this car. It’s got the looks, size, space, and specs that allow me to cart around my family and also have a blast driving.

Definitely wasn’t stoked on the cost, I was expecting MSRP to be more like $40k. I got $5k over for my deal and it included the forged wheels and a bunch of other accessories. Unless I trade it in for a 25 or 26 model year this will probably be a forever car for me and something my kids eventually drive in about a decade, assuming they deserve it, so the cost is justifiable.

At first I was also a little concerned it wasn’t enough of an upgrade against the Si to make sense, but then I realized it feels similarly powerful and I haven’t gone above 4500 RPMs ? Plus it looks so much better with the widebody and hatch rear end.

400 miles in and couldn't be happier, even though I still haven't even opened her up. Have my 2.5 year old son's car seat in the back. What more could anyone ask for in a car? Insanely fun to drive and practical as I could ever need for a daily driver.

I’m sad about my purchase. I’ve only driven 20 miles because my cars spent the last 3 days getting pretty and it’s been negative temperatures. I’ve also had a nightmare the detailers took the car out for a joy ride and totaled it. So overall sad so far.

But temps are gonna be in the high 40’s low 50s next week so I’m about to get out the leather gloves and channel my inner Ryan Gosling and just go drive.

That's great! I have a 6 and 4 year old that I'm sure will enjoy it as well once mine comes in!

Love mine but want to change the color. Will probably be looking for another one in about a year. Since these cars will probably be more limited compared the the FK8, values should be very strong.

What color do you have and what about the color makes you want to change? Also, what color do you want?

Saw it today in person. I don't know what I expected. Thought it was gonna be wider than it was in person vs pictures. Still great looking car.... Loved the seats.

Thought it was gonna be wider? Dude it’s wider than a G80 M3. Definitely not sure what you were expecting either ?
