I have not tried them yet but curious to see what you guys think. I’m already happy with mine with the shift bushings and detent springs.

Yes, I had the shifter cable bushings before and that was an improvement, but I added the rest of the upgrade pieces for the shifter lever assembly recently and it makes an already good shifter even better. Was totally worth the upgrade.

nice, how hard was the install? Haven't installed my base bushings yet because it looked like a lot of work to get to the shifter. i hate messing with interior trim. always end up breaking or losing something.

Its actually easy to do, just a little tedious. Taking apart the trim is easy, its just trying to remember plugging everything in after that can be an issue sometimes. I recommend having a retractable magnet for the bolts under the cup holder and to be careful with the spacers and retaining washers that come with the short throw adapter, they dont hold together all too well.

I also made it a little easier on myself by buying a 2nd OEM lever assembly, installing the upgrade parts on that and just swapping it out for the existing one in the car.

Surprisingly I used Hybrid Racings short shifter install video as a reference to uninstall and reinstall the shifter.

They've been saying the full assembly is gonna come out soon, but they've said for over a year now. The upgrades they released work out very well, plus I dont need all the adjustment the full assembly will have. For me and my driving this setup is perfect, but I'm sure whenever the full assembly comes out, that'll be great too.

Would you say the 10% narrower shifter gate spacing with the shifter rocker upgrade and the 20% shorter throw with the short throw adapter are accurate?

I want to tighten up my shifter somewhat, but I still like to row my gears. I don't really like very short shifters.

Hard to tell if its close to what they've stated for the upgrades, its definitely tighter, but nothing too much like with a fully adjustable assembly.

They had a recent post on their Instagram that showcased the difference.

To realize 10% and 20% changes is minimal. Hence I’m not in a rush to do this mod. Everyone who claims these mods makes a world of difference, I have to ask, which car were you previously driving? A hyper car? A super car? People make it sound like the FK8 and FL5 have shifter from the 70s.

I recently installed Acuity Stage 2 transmission upgrades to my 2023 FL5. I already felt that the FL5 shifter was the best transmission I've ever experienced and I've been lucky to drive a number of manual Porsches, including a 992.1 Carrera T and a 981 Cayman.

I did the installs in two phases... first the Acuity shifter cable bushings. This upgrade was subtle. Shifts felt both smoother and with greater mechanical definition. This was a combination I was not expecting as I had always assumed that a mechanical feel would come with increased notchiness.

I then enjoyed the shifter for a few weeks before installing the modifications under the internal console. I was pretty hesitant as I couldn't imagine the shifter feeling any better than it already did. After the rest of the stage 2 upgrades were installed I was a little disconcerted that the shifter felt stiffer than I was wanting, however after about a week it now feels outstandingly great. It's super mechanical, very smooth and is very tolerably stiffer than it was stock. I'm amazed at how great it feels now and am really happy that I did the upgrade. I've also got a few other Acuity products in the car (shifter boot collar and ESCO insulated knob as well as the throttle pedal spacer) and every Acuity addition has been positive.

I'm now at the stage where Acuity has delivered on everything thus far and I'm super curious about the forthcoming drop in fully adjustable short shifter assembly. At every stage I kept wondering how things could get better, but they did... and now it feels inevitable that the full assembly will eventually makes it way into my car.

I noticed that you have a ZC6 BRZ. I have the MTEC detent springs, TRD quickshifter and Whiteline transmission mount and the shifter is extremely tight. I'm curious if the Acuity shifter cable bushings are a worthwhile modification.
