Hi all.

I’ve got some matte black TE37 SAGA S PLUS wheels incoming (18x10 +40 5/120 - Face 4 Concave).

Not sure whether to go 265 or 275 width tyres. I like the idea of wider tyres for extra grip and the look. Guessing the downside is more tyre noise.

Any advice or tyre recommendations gratefully received. Thinking of staying with PS4S tyres but views would be great.

I’m going through the same decision right now for the same spec advans. I’m in between ps4s is 265 vs advan apex v601 in 275.

I've no experience on 275*18 but I would opt for the 275 and enjoy the extra grip everywhere and hopefully traction off the line.

275 is preferred but it’s really going to depend on the tire itself. Some 265s run as wide as 275s and that wheel spec is on the aggressive side. I’m leaning towards the v601

I also think a 200TW tire in a 275 would be prone to rubbing issues

you are going a bit wider, so I might upsize if you're using them for the street. Also depends on how much based on the tire. A tire like the DWS06+ runs narrow, a tire like the Pirelli P Zero AS 3 Plus runs true to size.

Thanks. I think I'm sticking with the PS4S which I think runs narrow. Suprising there is so much difference amoung the tyre brands in the same spec.

PS4S are actually on the wider/true side of width for a street tire. Would probably do 275 on 10

The ps4s in 265 is only .1 narrower than the v601 in 265, but actually has a wider treadwidth.

Oh right. I was going off what the retailer told me. Thanks for that.

Those are fairly aggressive wheels. I would run 265 and that might even require some extra camber so you don't rub if you're lowered.
Thanks. I'm not lowered currently but planning on doing spoon springs. The retailed said in his experience there should be no rubbing at all even with spoon springs. If you've had some experience with rubbing then maybe the 265 is the way to go.
