I also received a call today from the WA dealership where I’m first in line. This is likely the second wave coming.

It seems like dealers are at least getting early allocations this go around. They don’t have a VIN yet. Maybe that means the boat is on the water or they are just getting started building them. Who knows.
The guy I talked to said he was just placing the order. He said they haven't even built them yet. But at least I got a phone call.

we just got word from the local rep that the price of the type r just went up $500

i checked the website and he's correct

$43,295 and boost, champ and sonic are now $44,845
That is what my dealership told me to after I bought mine. They said the price is gonna go up, not down. They put in an order for another one literally right after I signed the papers. Then they said they might not even receive another one anytime soon, if at all. They told me I probably bought the only one they will get. Yes it sucks that the dealerships are overcharging but if someone really wants one then get it now before it goes up even more

Will this be their first or second allocation?
I haven't purchased a vehicle from a dealership in 20 years. I have no idea if its the first or second allocation. If all goes well this will be my first new car.

We all hope you get your hands on one honestly. You won’t be disappointed

just curious, can you see any for Tennessee?

The second wave hits in late February to March. Below are some of the Florida dealerships that get the 2nd wave. None of these dealerships got from the first wave of cars.

The 1/10 is the production date, cars generally take 4-6 weeks after the production date to touch ground but seeing as these cars are coming from Japan, it'll be more like 8-10 weeks.

Boost Blue available for $10k over at Burlington Honda, Burlington, WA.
Ask for Deb!

I was #1 on this list until I found a Boost Blue locally, but she still refunded my $1k deposit.
I guess they are part of the 2nd allocation.

Check out this video from Car News. Read the description. It says about 4800 a year will be built globally. That’s far less then the fk8.
4800 for the whole world wouldn't even recoup the cost of getting the car federalized. Not to mention these cars are supposed to rolling advertisement for Honda but more scarce than super cars don't make any damn sense.

He's right the 2nd wave is for the dealerships that didn't get on the first batch but met the requirements for receiving the FL5.
Any for PA on the second wave? Thanks!
