How do you know for sure?
The factory that makes them, has a current capacity of just over 400 a month, which equates to almost 5000 a year. Half of that is destined for US soil.

I think mine is going to show at the dealer before I'll have my FK8 put back to stock. This wait is going to suck

Not a 2023, so maybe doesn't belong here, but I'm pumped for the 2025 allocation that I was able to secure here in Canada (extremely limited quantities for the entire 3-year run). Salesman took my driver's license and credit card info and informed me that I'm first in line for the 2025 model.

Got a few years to go, but this is huge motivation to take care of some life stuff beforehand (almost done my career-change schooling). Been a Type R fanboi since the 90s and really want to make this dream come true.

Chose Championship White as my first choice. Don’t know what colours will be available for 2025 (only White, Grey, and Red for first year in Canada), but preference after White would be: Black, Boost Blue + Sonic Grey tied, and then Red, in that order.

I thought we were looking at 5k units per year in the US alone?

My dealership in California tells me the type R I have a deposit on is in Honolulu waiting for transport.
any truth to this?
thought they just came from Japan straight to CA port for US west coast dealers

This could be totally legit but I have trust issues with car sales people always trying to lie about something

I cant even imagine ordering a car that far in advance but its seems to be the new normal with electric cars people still waiting for the cyber truck

Even the 2025s are mostly, or all spoken for now. Seems like the entire 3-year run of FL5 here in Canada is as limited, or more limited than the Yellow FK8. I have a friend-of-a-friend who’s a sales manager at a local Honda. I wanted to place my deposit with him at his dealer, but he said nope they’re all gone and they’ve had to refund a bunch of deposits. I’m thrilled I was able to get an allocation at all, and I’m good with waiting til then.

Sales guy says my allocation is guaranteed. Hopefully I can have my first choice of CW.
