Super frustrating how in the dark I've been. My dealer can only say they are getting 3-5 for the run. No mention of STRIPE or anything, getting nervous over here even though I have a deposit down.

Dealership I went to took my deposit and said that they will transfer the information to the Honda portal once it is ready.

A little bit concerning that there is nothing straightforward with a standard process in place?

I put my deposit back in Spring when I was told in writing that I'm second (large Ontario dealer). I have not been given a stripe link but been assured that I am entered in the system.

How do we actually ensure the dealers don't game this system? I will complain to Honda HQ if they're screwing us over. We should've just ordered direct with HQ

If you know the way to complain to Honda HQ.. Maybe you should contact them to verify what to do.

I have received confirmation that my details are loaded into STRIPE now. (Dealer did it; I was not provided a link). I'm #2 in the queue at my local dealer. No ETA on arrivals yet, although some speculation that it might not be till early '23.

I called Honda Canada's customer service line. It was as bad as you would imagine.

"Please contact your dealer directly, we cannot speak on behalf of how they are deciding to sell, allocate or track orders"

I told them about the inconsistency of the communications provided to customers, they put me on hold for 20 mins. Came back saying the same thing.

Couldn't verify where the stripe portal $$ goes to etc etc. What a cluster fuck.

Just got a message from a dealer in DFW that they are having a phone call today to discuss allotments to their dealership and so far no word on availability, but they think they’re only getting 1 initially…

Ive heard the similar locally but not knowing for certain wth is going on is frustrating.

central florida, we are one of the top volume dealerships so we should get a car fairly early. we got one of the first 100 fk8's in 2017
