I dunno man, I think you're over exaggerating things. Its Honda after all. They are one of the largest mass vehicle manufacturers in the world. Unlike the germans, they produce vehicles for the masses, and they already knew the demand was gonna be high as sh*t, so I'm almost certain that they've thought this through. We might be waiting until '23 summer, but shouldn't be any longer than that. Whats the point of launching a 2023MY if you're gonna deliver in 2024?

They will likely deliver sometime in fall to early next year, my point is msrp will be a unicorn forever on this car. So all of the waiting in the world won’t likely help.

Do you have a source to back up that claim? That one post on this website which said Canada is only getting 540 something CTR spread over three years is based entirely on a rumor. All I can say is that I would believe something as insane as this only if Honda puts it out there.

Do I have proof? I have spoken to the 3 GM's, 1 GTA territorial manager, 1 sales and production analyst at Honda Canada, 1 Senior Account Manager at Canad's largest dealer group. You think I'm making this shit up? LOL.

1 GM at one of the LARGEST Honda Dealerships in Downtown Toronto quoted me 0-6 units over 3 years. So MAX 2 per year.

Call your local dealership, ask to speak with the GM, all the GM's have been provided these numbers my friend.

I'm also the one who broke the Stripe payment platform link details on here for Canadians, I trust my sources.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE!! to be wrong, If Honda is making 2,500 for Canada that would make me SOOO Happy. It means I will almost for sure be able to lock one up.

Have to agree, my dealer said the same going to be very limited. Luckily I am first on the list having put a deposit down early. Still wont be relieved until I see my name attached to a VIN or allocation.

Oh man. Now when you put it like that it makes me feel completely hopeless. I hope you're proven wrong somehow and everyone who put a deposit down for a pre booking gets their CTR without an insane markup.

Has it already been discussed why Honda opted for a 3-year production run for the FL5 (sorry if I missed it)?

Is it the roadmap for the Type R/Honda in general to hybridization and electrification? I know the situation is mostly the same with Toyota's upcoming GR Corolla; are they only planning to stick that car in the market as such for ~3 years, too? I realize Honda's also been one of the hardest-hit manufacturers in terms of supply chain issues debilitating their manufacturing output numbers—so is it simply a matter of them only producing what they can given the circumstances?

Interested to hear what the discourse has been and other members' thoughts!

I have a pretty good relationship with my dealer I think they will be somewhat fair. We will see when that time comes.
