I mean it is a 2023 model, so at least wait until 2023 guys :p

Cars have landed in USA so it's a matter of time. Once dealerships get the car they will make sure it sits on their lot the least amount of time.

I still think some lucky people will get their car end of Nov, early Dec.

Have to agree with some others, the shine is wearing off each passing day for the FL5. This has been a dogshit rollout by Honda.

The rollout is honestly pretty clear at this point though. November 7-10 is media drives. Pricing and details then, and cars hit dealers shortly after.

I'm hoping same day Honda will allow dealers to sell the vehicle. Maybe while shipping the vehicles for media drives, Honda is shipping allocations to allocated dealers, and soon as the dealers get the "go", that's when I get a call saying your Type R is ready for pick up. Obviously wishful thinking. But this wait is terrible ... Particularly seeing the cars sit in salty port air and direct sun.

Yeah I’m sure there’s some reason from Honda they’re just sitting there, but I agree it’s ridiculous other markets are driving them and ours are sitting in a port with hundreds lined up for over a month.

reason is they need enough shipped for every dealer to get least one car for launch.

what’s wrong with the rollout? They’ve been on time with their estimates. Fall doesn’t mean first day of fall, they have plenty of time to still do good on their timing.

its the anticipation and not knowing how many each dealer is getting that is eating people up. With the pricing just being released on the other 2023 models and them hitting dealerships next month, I can’t see how anything has been off.

that being said, I’m itching too. Just spoke to my dealer on Friday, try to check in every couple of weeks. I get the first one but I still feel the need to check in.

I bet some of us will have them in December!

I like this idea. With there being 1071 Honda dealers in the US, I’m sure some super small markets won’t get any. That means they need to have about 800 units ready, seems reasonable!

Once the collection in Richmond hits a certain number, they're going to start to roll out to dealerships across the U.S. With media drives scheduled for the second week of November, I suspect they'll be hitting U.S. dealerships (Batch #1, anyway) in December. Which means Honda will hit their Fall '22 timeline (Dec. 21 is the first day of winter).

I'm getting pretty excited. Not likely that I'll see one in person for the next year, but I've never felt a sense of rush with these sorts of things.

I think the coolest part of this whole journey (been on this forum for over a year now) will be to see when user cars start showing up. Can't wait for that thread!
