yes and no, when I walked in I was introduced to Wes but he was about to get off, so introduced me to Jeff, so Jeff took my deposit but I have been "in conatct" with Wes.

No, haven’t yet. I’ll probably ask for my deposit back soon or see if I can transfer my deposit to somebody else.

I have a deposit at a different dealership and they called me over the weekend to confirm that I’m first in line and asked me what color i prefer and how I would be paying for the car. No new info. I emailed him early last week about the lotto, but he said it’s just internet talk. He would give me an update once he hears more.

This 2nd dealer is not charging extra accessories unless I want them.

Albertan Canadian here. Dealer basically shat on every other dealer saying if they've got info they're spitting lies ?

I can only assume Quebec operates differently than Alberta ?‍

I’m in BC and nothing is happening here except me pissing off my dealer…lol

Its almost 1 to 1. Canadians get the Golf R for DIRT cheap compared to every other country.

The reason I ask is because of what RoidRage said. It’s typically not a direct conversion what you pay vs us. 45k in car dollars is like 52k in Canada. I can’t see it being priced much differently than a Golf R.

I don't really trust any of this information, but logistically, it could be true. K20C1 production might end sooner than we'd like if there's room for it in Honda's electrification plans.

That said, if "end of production" implies a facelift due for MY2026, that could make sense too, since the FK8 facelift happened at about the same amount into production.

Unless the chassis code changes, any stated production life cycle for code FL5 would include any facelifts.
