Yep. Waiting would be a breeze, if we just knew what to expect, instead of feeling left in the dark. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised, if they just start showing up at dealerships, without a single word from Honda.
This is what I’m expecting!

Honda, we spent way too much time and money getting on these lists early on, don't punish the true fans that got in before the hype, before the pics, just on desire for wanting the car.

Nobody in Canada cares about “True Fans” from the sound of it.

I wouldn't mind a lottery too much tbh. I don't think it's less fair than big ADMs, and y'all hate those already.

A quick update regarding the rationale for the POTENTIALLLLL Canadian Lotto for the FL5.

Contact said it partially has to do with the availability of the FL5 but MAJORITY has to do with dealerships gaming the system.

Larger dealer groups have been doing some pretty fucked up shit. Taking new allocated in-demand vehicles and transferring them to other brands in the dealerships group, like sending a Honda to a Hyundai dealership and selling them used @ 1,000 KM instant marking up 10K-30K.

In doing so they can bypass Canadian OMVIC (governing body) rules and regulations regarding ADM's.

Additionally, forcing customers to compete via "offers" based on addons etc etc. Only allowing LEASING only and charging buyback fees.

Honda Canada would rather a fair lottery system to stop dealerships from completely gouging customers and further destroying what brand loyalty they have.

Funny story during the LE lotto up here, my friend got one and the dealership in charge of completing the sale asked my friend what his price was to buyback the vehicle, they desperately wanted to buy it back with 0 km's on the car to instantly sell back out @ +$20K.

**** This is the FEEDBACK that ONE dealership insider has provided me, details COULD be FALSE and incorrect. Just passing on a further discussion I had****

Example of one such dealership doing so on the new blackwing

I had a dealer here, who sells at MSRP, tell me they did the exact thing with a new SI. Do not remember the markup, but it was significant. Car had like 500 miles on it.

If dealerships are going to do this kinda of BS and Honda can't stop them.

I am 1000% for a lottery. Even if I don't get one, atleast these fuckers can't profit from it.

It's gotten so bad that histroc MSRP dealerships are jumping into this gaming system also. Thats how low inventory is for the in demand cars.

The largest Toyota dealership quoted my friend looking for a Sienna 4 years wait... 3 years for Rave 4 prime ROFL.
