How the H E double hockey stick am I supposed to install my Teyes LUX ONE headunit when the back of the Bose headunit looks like what’s posted below?!?! THEN Honda goes all in with no lube by burying this bose module which I imagine has all the other connectors. I have NO IDEA how to even begin to get to it because I can’t find shop manual for our 11th gen Si. Smfh. Please tell me someone installed an aftermarket headunit on the Bose cars WITHOUT totally rewiring the entire speaker system cause I can’t find it anywhere. Everything on YouTube and forums are ALL base models or they ripped everything out and spent a few racks on a total new system.

In my experience it is better to work around the factory head unit rather than replace it. I'm not sure what your goals are but AudioControl has a great line of products that can give you incredible results with the factory head unit as long as you are willing to make the investment. I'm not aware of any easy/cheap upgrade options here unfortunately.

Yea I have their sub amp. Doesn’t change the fact that using a Teyes headunit (or any respectable unit) is a lot better for tuning purposes and also far exceeds the factory headunit way I.e. using audiocontrols built in loc system. If I was an absolute audio expert and had time to do all this and figure it out. I would. Do you know where I can obtain a shop manual or service manual?

Ps the cheap option IS a headunit. It’s hard because nobody can find a damn service manual. ?

So that happened before i had a free weekend to install my sub and amp. I’m still waiting to get her back from the shop. They ended up ordering me a replacement fender and door from LKQ. The fender is from a flood vehicle with 0 miles on it and the door is from a wrecked civic with 11k on it. We just have to switch ALLLLLLL the ins and outs because it’s a base model civic the door is coming from I think. Not an Si. Don’t worry I’ll keep you updated when I do install it whenever I get my baby back. I am using an Audio Control amp and the audio control LCi pro 2 in conjunction.

Why didn't you get brand new oem parts to replace the damaged ones.

That sucks man. At least it’s just body and door damage, could’ve been a whole lot worse. Thanks for keeping me posted; I’ll have to look up this two parts you mentioned.

Because it’s MUCH MUCH harder to paint a 3-4 stage paint job and THEN blend match it to the original. Versus buying painted factory parts from wrecked or salvage vehicles and just blending them even if you have to. Sometimes you don’t have to blend since the door has 11k on it. The fender is from a brand new civic already. Furthermore it’s cheaper. I’m just fortunate I know the owner and have a say in how it’s fixed. Most shops would buy reproductions from china and paint them then blend it to save as much money they can to pocket it. Know what I mean?

Your speaking Chinese to me. I've got no clue about body work. Somebody backed into my passenger side door of my ctr. The body shop just ordered a oem door from honda.
