No. The revs drop at different speeds depending on how you manipulate the pedal. I realized this when I released the pedal too quickly by mistake, but the ajift was smooth as butter. Now I can replicate the shift every time.
I noticed something funny about rev hang. I've noticed it before I tuned it, so its not the tune. If you lift off the foot quickly, but not dumping it, rev drops quickly compared to when you're slowly lifting the foot off the clutch. Its hard to explain it in words, but its like, im "bouncing"...
Why is the 11th gen si so slow? Takes 2 shifts to 60. Stock tires are doo doo. Boost doesnt build so quickly after shifting. Factory tune is just too safe. I haven't even bothered timing the car after reflash, until I throw on some better tires. My 10th gen didnt really see gains until I got new...
Been running 1.5r in map1 mostly because I dont leave my ktuner 2.0 plugged in, and keep it in map1 for morning commute when the engine is still cold. It's still a huge improvement over stock. Increased torque is very noticeable, and it just feels better to drive. As with my 10ty gen, engine...
Honda trimmed so much fat, there's really not much left, except the boat anchor wheels and maybe lighter battery, which i find not all that worthwhile. Catted downpipe will shed about 10 pounds, but prl intercooler will add 12 pounds right back. Prl Intake/intercooler resonator delete yielded 3...
How about, use what you want to use? What's the point of trying to convince people? Nobodys trying to have real discussion on these forums. Its always a shit show.
I read an interview or article that when 10th gens were being introduced, honda japan pushed for lower power levels, but honda usa wanted what we got. So im guessing for 11th gen, they went down to the lower power/higher reliability route. I put over 100k miles tuned on 10th gen, and im...
Normal for factory calibration. Im finding that honda went way too conservative with the 11th gen. L15ca should be more robust than l15b7, but they made the software more restrictive than 10th gen. Im tuned now and its so much more enjoyable to drive the si now.
When i changed back to 0w20, engine was raspy and rattly compared to 5w30. It wasn't quiet at all. Have you tried 5w30?
Between 0w20 and 0w30, cold temp viscosity are supposed to be the same until you get up to temp right? And I only used 5w30 during summer, so Im not worried about it.
Sure, im...
