I imagine intense wheel hop could damage the axles or differential. Otherwise, without sticky sticky tires your not going to damage the differential. In RWD cars, it is not uncommon to put drag slicks on for the first time and then break the differential or axles. AWD cars destroy...
I put the spare on the rear and took it for a short drive and didn't see a problem. On the Odyssey you use the same lug nuts as with the stock alloys. My wife got a couple of flats when we had an Odyssey LOL. If I am missing something, let me know.
Thanks, I have the VEEPEAK OBDCheck BLE+ adapter and have been using Car Scanner app just for reading and clearing codes. I was hoping to get an app with more functionality.
These threads have me thinking about shifter mods so the shifter has a stronger centering feel so you don't overshoot the middle gate going from 5 to 4 and getting 2 instead. Anyone tried this...
If it were my motor, I think I would start by pulling the plugs and scoping the tops of the pistons, bottom of the valves and cylinder walls. I would look for evidence of contact between valves and pistons. Then I may pull the valve cover and inspect the valve train and clearance. You could...
$200 sounds expensive but if it comes with a jack and lug wrench shipped then I guess it's not too bad. Much cheaper if you can find one yourself in a junk yard. I found several Odyssey spares and picked the newest one (tire date). Jacks were rare, I found one kind of rusty Odyssey jack and...
2005+ Honda Odyssey spare 135/80-17
Very close to the stock tire diameter, 5x120 uses the same lug nuts, will not clear the front brakes but works fine on the rear. Common in junk yards. Around $25 at Pick and Pull.
Went to my local Pick and Pull to find a spare, jack etc. There were around...
I guess now is a good time to have a HANS discussion. I was told that the
Simpson Racing Hybrid S is the only one rated for 3 point belts. Which HANS do you have, where did you get it and are they hard to fit?
I had just passed the flag station on the left, started down the hill and shifted my focus to the braking markers when the smoke from the tires caught my eye. They completely disappeared in the smoke and it was so dense I couldn't see the track ahead and I couldn't see them hit the tire wall...
Good video, I learned from it. That last session was really great running with the race cars and less traffic. And then suddenly it wasn't great. It was Nice meeting you guys this weekend.
