  1. The Tuned 11th gen Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I have just received the RV6 Type R retrofit clutch kit. Does anybody know if I will have to reach out to Phearable to get a tune revision to accommodate the new flywheel, or will I be fine with the tune i have? My understanding is that the RV6 flywheel is basically the same weight as the 11th...
  2. The Tuned 11th gen Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Happy new year, everyone. Thought I'd update on my car a bit. I now have about 1,000 tuned miles logged on my 2023 SI, tuned with Phearable 1.5R using a KTuner V2. It seems like the 1-by-1 headstud method has worked, as I have no fluid consumption or burning. I think my driving style (highway...
  3. The Tuned 11th gen Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Finally, it's time for my first real tuning post! Before I installed the tune, I installed the ARP head stud kit with a good friend and CivicX member TheDeliSauce, who is truly a wizard with these cars. We did the 1-by-1 method that TSP outlines and so far, I've gotten no funny smells or smokes...
  4. The Tuned 11th gen Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I ended up ordering the studs and will install them with the TSP 1-by-1 method. I figure they'll give me the peace of mind to drive the car without worrying about the head gasket every time I go WOT (which is quite frequent). I'll tune it next and keep it on a lower map until springtime, when...
  5. The Tuned 11th gen Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Got my finger hovering over the order button for the KTuner and Phearable 1.5R tune, but there's one thing that's honestly killing me; the head studs thing. A friend of mine (TheDeliSauce over on CivcX) had a tuned 10th Gen running Phearable, big turbo, etc. and he was making 300-something to...
  6. The Tuned 11th gen Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Hearing it described as "OEM+" just sealed the deal for me. I still want to do the RV6 clutch before I tune, but a basic, mild tune for a bit extra shove is all I really want. What made you go with the Hondata tune over TSP or Phearable? Are you worried about the clutch or head studs, or is it...
  7. Does Map 1 on the Phearable 1.5R tune offer a meaningful difference over stock?

Can you elaborate a little on what was different about Map 1? Any extra power, did it hit boost faster, better/worse fuel economy, etc?
  8. Does Map 1 on the Phearable 1.5R tune offer a meaningful difference over stock?

Hey all, I've been toying with the idea of throwing a KTuner on my car and using one of the big-name OTS tunes (Phearable 1.5R being the frontrunner). However, I don't have head studs or a more robust clutch installed yet so I'm not planning on cranking the boost up like crazy right away...
  9. Civic Si Lowering Springs Eibach vs Swift

IIRC they use a one-off prototype coilover set, the supplier of which I'm blanking on right now. Nothing that's currently available to the public, unfortunately, although I think the plan is to sell it retail once the kinks are worked out. I know one of the members of the HPD team is on this...
  10. Civic Si Lowering Springs Eibach vs Swift

I have Swifts on mine and I'm running the SPC rear camber arms (which is what the HPD team actually uses on their Civic SI autoX cars). I was able to get the rear camber back to about -1.9 which is technically within factory spec for these cars. As for the ride quality, I think it's great! It's...
  11. Hondata Jailbreak Day at The Honda Meet in Ohio

I'll be there, but no 2.0T :( Anything for us SI guys?
  12. Spoon Sports Springs Installed on FL5 w/ 25mm R + 20mm F Spacers

Does anyone know if the FL5 springs fit the FE1 SI? I'm sure they would, and the spring rates for the FL5 kit seems way better than the FE1 kit. I just want to confirm before I drop hundreds on springs.
  13. Spoon Inspired Civic Si

How have the spoon springs affected your ride quality and handling? And roughly how much is the car lowered by now? Also, do you need to add any special camber arms to get the alignment right? I've noticed that other lowering springs or coilover kits require camber arms to get the alignment...
  14. Accord end links upgrade for 11th gen civic

I fit an FK8 swaybar and end-links into my 2023 SI. You should have no issues using the Accord links, but definitely consider doing the swaybar too, no real point otherwise
  15. Aftermarket Clutch Recs?

Hey all, Still loving my 2023 SI so far. About 5,000 miles on it at the time of writing this. While I have no reason to believe my clutch is going out (it locks up hard enough to buck the whole car even when I shift pretty mildly) I've been considering a clutch upgrade somewhere down the line...
  16. New Civic Questions

The Jetta has never had a 10spd auto. Yours likely has an 8spd. There's always the manual options if you don't want a CVT. I can't say I blame you; while Honda does CVTs pretty well, they still don't hold a candle to a geared automatic or a dual clutch. The 1.5T should get comparable mileage...
  17. Just took delivery of my 2023 SGP SI!

Keeping it stock. I think, if anything, I'd find some way to get more feel through the clutch pedal, but otherwise I don't plan to change anything on the car besides consumables like brake pads and tires. It does everything I want it to. It's a fun, reliable daily, which I couldn't say the same...
  18. Just took delivery of my 2023 SGP SI!

I'm at around 740 miles now. Still taking it easy but I've gotten on it gently a few times. It pulls everywhere in the rev range, which is just insane to me. How they managed to make a 1.5L engine make usable torque everywhere is so impressive. The shifter has gotten even smoother and the...
  19. Just took delivery of my 2023 SGP SI!

Drove the car home almost exactly 500 miles, so there goes a good chunk of the break-in! CHASSIS: The suspension is firm enough that there's no body roll around corners, but not punishing. It's definitely a very active, playful chassis. Honda did an excellent job here; the car feels super...
  20. Just took delivery of my 2023 SGP SI!

Hey all! This is my first actual post on this forum, as well as my first Honda and first brand-new car! Today, I flew out from Columbus, OH to Philadelphia to pick up my new SGP Civic SI. The buying experience was super smooth; I was in and out in about an hour and I could not be happier right...
