There’s a company on IG that makes splitters similar to the Project Aero lip, but it’s more aggressive. RSplitters Aero. Pretty sure it’s the same materials too, but not 100%. Since they are made in the US, it may be a good way to save some $$ on tariffs and shipping.
I have the GruppeM now, which is basically the same as the Blitz with a different filter. Install was a pain in the ass, but it’s awesome and I’m glad I have it now. It has a number of advantages in my opinion and I have zero regrets with the GruppeM.
I had no issues with fitment on the hood side. The only issue with fitment I ran into was clearance with a wiring harness for the radiator fans. One of the corners of the airbox actually sat against the harness. I have not heard of anyone else having this issue, so maybe it was something wonky...
After installing the GruppeM, there’s absolutely a couple of places that could lend to user error in the installation. If done correctly, and you take your time, it should be fine.
The air box is basically three pieces: the secondary intake (what you see wrapping over the ECU box), a top intake ducting section that attaches to all the pretty red bits, and the lower intake box that houses the filter. Essentially, you have to take the secondary and top intake portion off...
I had the Infinity Design before. Sold it for some quick cash to close a real estate deal. Things ended up working out better than expected and the cash wasn’t needed. Haha. The Infinity Design was great and a beautiful piece. I posted a pretty in depth review on this forum. I switched mainly...
Some stars aligned and I was able to order a new intake to replace the one I sold a month or two ago. Decided to go a different route this time. Luckily for me, it cleared customs the day before the de minimis exemption ended. Between that and BHJ helping out, I didn’t have to pay any tariffs on...
That’s why I’ll be going PWR when I upgrade the IC. It’s only 3lbs heavier than stock, cools extremely well, and doesn’t block nearly as much airflow to the radiator.
The K&N intake uses filter RP-5113. Specs can be found here. https://www.knfilters.com/rp-5113-universal-air-filter-carbon-fiber-top?srsltid=AfmBOoqFejDDQOHTiWlTq842W8Sqn8t5eLXjWbMkpeAoAqaZinh3s08K
I definitely dig the access panel for maintenance. Sucks you have to have a tune for it (assuming because of the MAF housing size).
The intercooler looks nice too, but it is heavyyy.
I just used a stock photo for reference. I did mine on ramps. I can see why people could have sagging if they don’t get those bolts tight, and it took a lot of curse words to keep the nuts from spinning with the bolts. I have Kermit the Frog arms too.
Also, word to the wise, if you decide to do...
There’s a bunch. Once you mock up the lip, it will be apparent which ones. That being said, if you have hands larger than small child’s, I highly recommend taking the bumper off. The scrapes, bruises, and overall frustration of trying to squeeze my hands/arms in between plastic panels was not...
I love the look of the OEM carbon wing with the exception of the red weave. Curious if anyone has had any experience with the EPR wing (preferably for a decent amount of time) and can attest to its fitment and quality of the weave/clear coat.
Also, second question sorta related, but sorta not...
