Model Year 2025 Civic Type R FL5 Shipments from Japan

Interesting observation - first time in 3 weeks that MotoringObsession shows in-transit shipments. Several hundred are on their way to the USA. The website doesn't decipher the model year, so unclear if they are 2025s or 2026s. I would guess 2025s given we have not heard a price increase announcement for the 2026 model year. Interesting to me that there was such a long gap with in-transit shipments of 3 weeks

They are all 2025s. No information on 2026 model.

Dealers have been receiving other models of Civics for 2026 MY. When I picked mine up, they assumed it was 2026 and surprised they were 2025.

Looks like another big batch arrived. I saw dealer posting vin up to 7012. 25MY is going to be a huge production year for FL5 leaping over one year

It might be the same ones off The Last Ship that came in that are finally being now allocated

Last boat only goes up to vin 6423 arrived early September. So this upper vin 7012 means another batch of at least 500-600 arrived this week at the port.

Can anyone find the original motoringobsession thread? I want to ping the creator and let him know it appears the website is broken. While it shows a handful of in-transit shipments, it is not showing what is currently sitting on dealer lots, at least in totality...something seems broken

New shipments. Sorry I've been busy and haven't updated. No sign of 2026.

(?? means the port's system didn't capture the color which just happens sometimes. Nothing special about those.)

Wow, they’re really pushing them out—so late into the year too. They usually switch over to the next model year by now.

As a stat, there's already over 2,900 MY2026 FL4's built from the same plant and arrived in the same shipments as the FL5's.
