So after talking with @PrecordFK7 I have decided to do a little list of things I recommend. This only applies to DE5 and FL5. FK8 requires other things and 1.5L guys your mods are a little different.

1. Tuning software: Hondata with tune of your choice.

2. Intake: any that you like or drop in filter.

3. Downpipe: any that you like but TSP is the only one that won’t trigger a CEL for those looking for that.

4. Exhaust: any that you like (I’m personally not a fan of clamp exhausts prefer flanges)

5. High pressure fuel pump: ( Full race right now since it is the one that flows the most without changing cams, so plug and play) Hondata fuel system plus is a close second since it flows almost as much but you have to upgrade to their cam and can be costly. And I know XDI is working on something to compete.

6. Injectors: Hondata injectors have the best spray pattern and I find them superior to other offerings.
( I run XDI for now but looking to upgrade down the road to Hondata 1530cc injectors). The Hondata injectors have more ports to even out the fuel spray for better atomization.

7. Shifter upgrades: Like Ted Lasso said “you do whatever you like”

8. Charge pipes: PRL for now since they replace the Elbow and unless something better comes to the market.

9. Brake pads: I personally use Paragon pads on and off the track, just choose your pad type.

10. Turbo: what ever you want, quickest spooling is Kuro, MHI oem option good blend of power and Spool, RV6 slightly more laggy with good transient response due to ball bearing cartridge with the most power potential of the stock frame like turbos.

11. Low pressure fuel pump: Wunderladen racing has a very nice plug and play ethanol aem pump.

12. Flex fuel: Hondata canflex kit.

If I forgot anything feel free to ask and if you need parts reach out to me first just in case for orientation.

how do you feel about the base Hondata fuel system without the cam? I'm looking to upgrade but just a fun daily driver, not a track monster. Have the CanFlex and intake and inlet. FMIC and intercooler next and then fuel system and turbo (Kuro or MHI).

So the standard fuel system will work very well. It just depends on how much you want to spend. With a bigger turbo you want as much headroom as possible if you are planning on running heavy ethanol mixes and don’t want to limit boost so much.

This is pulled straight from the TSP website. So you can decide what you want.

@Jester04 Thank you for providing so much value to this forum! Regarding the Wunderladen ethanol rated lpfp. I only see one listed on their site for 10th gens. Will this pump work for 11th gens as well?

Wunderladen has always been a pleasure to do business with and they are a company worth supporting.

Lastly, Jester is the man. If you are in the market for a tune, check this guy. His customer support in unparalleled.

I would get in contact with them, But I can’t recall where I saw it and they said it would fit the 11th gen too. But better safe than sorry.

If you can’t get an answer I will bite the bullet and try and install to make sure it works for you guys. I’m not a fan of DW products which is currently the one that most people use. Have had them go bad on me before.

Jester, what would you say is the ideal modification order? You have a list of recommended items a few posts ago - is this also the order? I'm looking for reliable power bump that can run consistently on track.

1. Unlock & Flashpro
2. Jester Tune
3.?
4.?

From my window watching build.
1. ECU Unlock
2. Flex Fuel
3. IC
4. Tune (Can realistically be put in front of any of the previous.)

My first 2 mods were ECU unlock and tune by Jester. That was good and fun for a while. Then came the intake and exhaust.

I don’t see the point of getting ECU unlock and not getting a tune.

So I would do the unlock and tune first and see if you are happy with the results. If you ever want more power you can always add some simple mods. Downpipe is the best mod you can add with a tune to take advantage if the extra power.

That's awesome @Noize - I am going to the St Louis jailbreak this upcoming weekend and plan on a Jester Tune as well - nice to hear more positive feedback
I’ll be here!! Look out for a TEP type s. I already got jailbroken in chicago but it’s only 20 minutes away from me so me and a few type s friends are coming.

@Jester04 Let us know when you get your can flex tune dialed in on your ctr. I'll probably have you tune mine when you get free time. Hondata can-flex w/ fuel upgrade ots tune is working great on e70 but didn't have options for kuro turbo upgrade, 27won high flow cat. converter, prl hvi, prl intercooler and charge pipes that I have installed. Probably can easily get more reliable horses out of her with the extras not in the base ots tune.

Send me a pm, so you can send me a log and make sure everything is working as it should. No charge for it, just want you to be safe since the kuro moves quite a bit more air and timing targets will be different.

I’m currently working on the Canflex but still verifying some data.

Dude, do yourself a favor. Number 2 should be, custom tune from Jester.
Jester is the man. Super humble and professional. A true gentleman that doesn't step on other tuner's toes. I trust this man with my car, as everyone should!
