Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

So I've called some of these dealers and most are playing games with add ons and trade-ins. Not sure whats going on its been 2.5 years now and the excitement is wearing off

I guess ITS it is or I may just buy something outside of Honda after this experience.

I deposited 2 years ago, and there is add-on, and trade in ?

I traded it in because the price they offered me is fair market trade in value, and i wanted the tax benefit. At least, my trade in isn't a 10k low ball offer.

Got mine last week after a 1 year and 11 month wait. There were two people ahead of me, one was service manager and other was sales person at my local dealer. It was a CW unit (colour I wanted), the first person wanted RR to match his S2000 and the other guy wanted to wait till next year because he hadn’t paid off his FK8. I was totally shocked. I found out about car on Saturday and picked it up on the following Wednesday. It had 18k on odometer. I’ve read virtually every review watched virtually every video and honestly it has exceeded my expectations. I’m gonna wait till I get to 500 km before redline. Even without hitting redline it’s scary. I think it sounds awesome and looks menacing in person. I haven’t even seen another on the road here in Victoria, but I’ve seen lots of GR Corolla’s. It’s a legendary vehicle.

Paid MSRP. They gave me great money for our 2018 CRV touring and got ceramic, floor mats and locking wheel nuts.

I just called Wheaton Honda in Edmonton as they have an RR on cargurus. They told me they might have one with a few addons, block heater, warranty etc. asked him for the total price and was told $78000.

Got "the" phone call yesterday morning! I was 2nd up (4th in line from 27 months ago) and the fellow ahead of me decided he didnt want to buy it to flip it as his original intention, so I got one! The guy ahead of me had ordered ceramic paint application, so had to cough up another $1200 on top of their "mandatory" block heater, AW mats, back trunk tray and mud flaps. Well, they dont sell mud flaps for the R so that at least got knocked off. (I guess the 3 R's they sold before me paid for mud flaps that didnt exist...)

The big news was that this dealership was supposed to get 9 over 3 years. The Manager told me as I was about to leave that their Honda Rep. said this was the last one they're getting in 24 and none in 25. Next one in 26. Wait: wasnt this a 3 yr run? I'm just happy I got one and maybe this is the last one they'll ever get if this is still a 3 yr run. Still a little shocked this all worked out.

Can you change ceramic paint to film protection instead? I would do that instead if i had the option

Already was done. No choice. I agree with the ppf. still waffling about doing part of my hood, fenders etc.

Interesting the dealership mentioned getting 9 cars and then they were shorted. Heard the same thing from another dealership. And about the MY26, I wonder if we’re actually getting an LE only….

Yes very interesting. This one wasnt even on their radar 4 weeks ago, and then it showed up. There is also nothing on Honda Cda. website or anything worldwide (I believe) that has talked about a 2025 model.
