Yea I am thinking 275 35. Our local tire guy does tire testing at Indy motor speedway. Ends up with close to 300 sets of 18" tires with a few laps each. Sells them cheap. He normally ends up with a lot of 275/35 sets. And I like the 10.5" look ?

Torn between 18x10.5 apex forged or just go inexpensive and pickup a set of enkei 18x9.5. I'm driving myself crazy looking lol.

Next weekend I'm installing the rear camber arm toe links and front adjustable ball joins.

For alignment I'm shooting for -2.5 front -2 rear. Any good baseline suggestions for toe? Slight toe in rear maybe zero toe up front?
Buy the parts you budget allows. Ask the internet a question and you will get internet answers.

Do yourself a favor and just drive the car. Make adjustments based on the feedback you get from your own driver seat.

I asked the internet a question because I don't know what I don't know. Sometimes it's the better resource vs just figure it out. I'll never just figure out how to drive faster on my own.

Agreed keep asking questions and doing research. That's what I always do and it hasn't failed yet.

Just had a 2-day track event at Watkins Glen International. I've been coming to WTGI for the past 7 years (minus Covid year) but first time with the FL5. The weather was unseasonably fair, 65F day 1 and 75F day 2. Usually, it's boiling hot by noon at around 80F. This was excellent for the FL5 since I didn't want to potentially deal with any overheating. I think the highest estimated oil temp according to logR was 272.

I'm sharing a video of my second PB lap that came from day 1 session 3 with a friend that was instructing that day as my passenger. Got some very nice in car coaching that shaved off 4 seconds. My PB that came in day 2 session 2 doesn't have a video. It's extremely odd that the Garmin Catalyst captured videos for every session except for my PB session (wtf).

So far, I'm loving the FL5 because I'm able to drive my family with packed trunk to Watkins Glen, rip around the track and then drive home in comfort. Other than the Bridgestone Potenza race tires, the suspension is stock and I intend to keep it as is.

Major improvement at Ridge last weekend, but temps yielded only a slight quicker PB. Data review yielded the car just didn't charge as hard in the 75*+ temps vs the 55-60* range -- shocker, right :)

If you haven't considered professional-grade coaching -- I'm fully a believer now. The amount we were able to cover across 2 days would have taken far more days on track + far more consumables to hopefully ever get to. Completely elevated my game, while simultaneously being less abusive on the car and its tires!
did you use a virtual or in-car coach?

Trying out the Continental extreme contact force in 275/35. Was debating between the typical other endurance contenders. RS4, 615 Azenis, V730, or AD09. I wanted a tire I can leave on the car not worry about street driving it. Price was right also.

It's a good option -- I've got 7 hard days on mine, and they are still looking great. I've run them backwards twice now just to even out wear a bit. I will be flipping on the wheels soon to get some additional life. The little wear indicators on the sidewall are quite helpful.

I've been running in 265/35/19 and it's been a pleasant street tire as well. There's probably 2K miles on them now that I think about it.

At Buy3Get1, its tough to argue for any of the other options besides the V730, but those will get dicier in the rain a bit faster.

It's not the fastest, and it definitely makes your work for the pace out of them, but they are hyper consistent and very communicative.
