Currently have Paragon R5 in front and R3 in the back. Had some issues of vibration last track day which was most likely that I did not bed pads enough. Still have not gone back to the track but did do an auto X and pads were fine, they were pretty good, worked as they should.
However I cam from Ferodo 1.11 on my M2 and I just liked the feel of those pads better, the initial bite was awesome (different brake setup, m2 comp had a bbk but i really think its pad compound at play here).
I feel like pad compound (talking feel here) really depends on driver, some prefer a higher initial bite, others prefer more modulation, etc. I really enjoyed the 1.11s. So you say just get 1.11s, which maybe I should but the price is just insane, I was hoping the pads would be much cheaper because smaller rotors but they are still $650 for fronts which is why I was excited to try the paragons for basically less than half price. So I am looking for other options, for people that have tried 1.11s and other compounds. I am looking at Endless ME20 which I have heard good things and tons of BMWs run them at the ring, can get em from Japan for a good price and wondering if anyone has tried endless ME20 or ME22 and how they compare to ferodo 1.11s, or let me know of other pad compound yall like if you have had experience with 1.11s

I believe CSG pads have also been recommended.

I tried the PFC 08 and did not like them. They need a lot of heat to work properly. They end up as what happened to you have uneven pad deposits

yeah definitely was deposits and took me a second to get rid of them, seems to be ok now but I would love to try something else. Its strange because people seem to love the Paragons and seems like they have had no issues (at least that I can find) but I just prefer a different compound. I might order the Endless ME20s and see if I like them, at a third of the price of the ferodos maybe worth the gamble.

My buddy tried the R5 on his Elantra N and those DCT cars are rough on pads. He said the R5 is similar to the 3.12 and is wearing well for a much cheaper price. No issues with deposits either.

I use the endless MX 72 plus. More of a street/track pad. They work very well. Have heard good things about the ME20 as well. The endless brake fluid is also nice. Gave a lot better pedal feel.

thank you, I have also heard good things about mx72 as dual duty. Endless makes good stuff for sure, they have brake kits too which people really like. For some reason not very popular in the US but really popular at the nurgburg ring with bmws.

The Endless MX72's are not a track pad and I've known of many cases where they have gone beyond their design temperature and a subsequent unwanted excursion in the gravel trap ensued.
Good pad for street, but so are the stock Brembo pads.
ME22/20's are the ones you want to run on the track.
I run Project Mu HC-CS on Paragon discs which perform great, has more bite than the OEM pads and less dust.

Yeah I want a proper track pad but I have heard of the MX72 being good pads if you want a light track work pad. I just leave the track pads on my cars, they are noisy for sure but I don't drive the car enough that really bothers me.

I will probably order the ME20s. Now the question is ME20 or the 22s. I like a bigger initial bite, its hard to tell which one has that, they seem like pretty similar pads.

I’m also thinking about giving the Endless ME20 a try. The Paragon R3s currently on the front isn’t bad. But they seem to fade a bit in the latter laps of the session.

@MooMoo that stuttering I told you about went away this track event. I guess I also didn’t bed them correctly.

yeah I think same problem then. My juddering was really bad, whole car shaking but now seems good at least on the auto x at lime rock which is a mini track basically (10 min session, def put some heat on breaks but not as much as big track). I can say the R5 had zero fading, on that I will say it was excellent but I just like something with a even bigger initial bite. Are you thinking about ordering the pads from japan? Lmk we could maybe order in 1 and save on shipping.

Did you clean and hone the rotor before installing the new pads? If you just threw the new pads on without doing that you can get very inconsistent bedding of transfer layer

I did not, never had to do this before and never had any issues. Rotors had 600 miles with the stock pads before putting the R5s on. I think some pads just bed easier than others and some are more prone to deposits than others

I was just going to order from Blackhawk Japan. I will have to check what the shipping cost is and see if it’s worth it or just ask Evasive or GoTuning to see if they sell Endless pads.

yeah I was gonna order from black hawk too, shipping for front and back pads is like $85 but the pads are super super cheap. I am not sure anyone state side sells em that I have seen. And in europe they are way ore than from black hawk
