$3k over is the norm now. I have local dealers who gave me the cold shoulder at $10k over just a couple mos ago who are now reaching out to me and going as low as $3k over.
If you're paying more than that, you're getting a bad deal.
It really depends on where you live, $3k over is far from the norm in South Florida. Rick Case Honda is probably the only dealer selling them for that low. Pretty much every south Florida dealership has FL5s in stock except Rick Case because we’re willing to do less than every where else.

I can confirm that Brahman Honda hasn’t sold a FL5 for less than $8k over sticker, Coral Springs has gone down to $7.5k. The smaller dealerships have been higher with their pricing. In the time it took Brahman to sell 3 and Coral Springs to Sell 2 FL5s, Rick Case sold 10 of them.

Well, I live in Cali. Which is probably the most greedy state when it comes to ADM's and some of these dealers are crumbling to pressure. YMMV!

Cali has the highest concentration of Honda dealerships in the country, they’re gonna have to crumble if they wanna sell anything. Makes it all the better for you

Areas of high CTR concentration will fall before the areas that hardly have any.
Yup exactly. Also in areas with Tech or high paying jobs and few allocated cars prices will remain high. Dealers know that sooner or later it will sell.

Off and on for over a year I have been attempting to buy a R in the PNW at or close to msrp. I could buy outright if easier deal and also had a 20 Si Coupe as bargaining power and couldn’t even get close to msrp with our local dealers. Prices have come down a bit but cars usually remain at dealers for 7 days or less and get sold.

Finally picking mine up at $3k over tomorrow, Pittsburgh region. Everyone here is still $5k+ and the only cars sitting are the $7500+. I think them relenting and doing 3 for me are the cracks showing though.

Was watching LOTR recently and this part hit me a little

Lived with GRC for a year and it’s a wicked machine but too compromised as a second vehicle for the family. Too small. Interior is a hard pill at $40k. And my thought has indeed remained bent on the car I really wanted all along.

Posted this in the wrong thread earlier:

One of the many dealers I pinged months ago finally got back around to me. Bob Boyte Honda in Brandon, MS has (2) 2023 CTRs in stock if anyone is looking, Championship White and Boost Blue. They said there is a $4k ADM but you may be able to talk them down more.

Ask for Ryan (601-768-2237).

Boost Blue in CA for $2.5K over at Freeway Honda if you buy before the 30th. I passed because I decided I really want grey or maybe white — otherwise I would've bought it myself. Ask for Patrick or text him at 904-652-9071. No added accessories or weird fees from what I could see, and he seems like a straightforward guy. Tell him Grahm sent you!

And if anyone has a similar or better lead on a grey... let me know :).

Was it a Core or Circuit Edition? I seriously considered the GRC until i saw it in-person. Yup, it's SMALL. And, because it was impossible to test-drive one, i had to go with my emotional reaction and just wait out my place for a CTR. I still haven't had the pleasure (?) of test driving one for comparison. After i got my FL5, I did get to look at a Circuit Edition in person, and it was amazingly well-designed. However, by then, it was a non-issue, and no regrets. ;)

You have verified what so many have said... that most people on here who opted for a different car were "settling" for their 2nd choice. I know there are some who much preferred a more "grown up" car like the ITS... but, if someone spends time on this forum, then their heart is probably with the CTR.

Since you have owned and driven the GRC for so long now, please...once you have driven your CTR, come back and share what you find as comparisons of the two.

Congrats!

It was a Core, real basic. The only part of the circuit I wanted was its seats. I gave it a shot because an MSRP allocation fell into my lap and it was like $15k cheaper than my best CTR deal I had lined up at the time.

Funny enough, it was the blue '24 Circuit Edition with the forged wheels that did my car in. I was actually a little excited by that, was lined up to swap to it. But wait. Exact same car except nicer looking? For almost the price of CTR?? Just as I was starting to put 2 and 2 together my Honda guy called me out of the blue to tell me he could get some ADM knocked off for me :dunno:

I already know I won't regret the CTR but I think the GRC has more pro's over it than just AWD, cost and engine sound.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I texted him just and he still has it. Won't be in at the shop until tomorrow so I'll ask for more info. I'll remember to mention you tomorrow too. Let's see what happens
