They are ok, and you actually can sit lower in this seat than the type r. the bolsters on the base is non existent but that keeps you from rubbing them every time you get in and out lol. They hold up well enough but are ultimately for comfort.
Ah I see, I'm really disappointed Acura didn't make these seats even slightly more bolstered (they claim the bolsters are stiffer, but it doesn't seem like they're any bigger). People complained that the base GR Corolla seats just aren't good enough to hold up on track, and I'm worried the Type S seats might have the same issue. Time will tell as reviewers get their hands on the car, but this is swaying me back towards waiting for an FL5 a little bit.

They did add additional bolstering

Yeah but they just stiffened the bolsters. The actual size of the bolsters looks unchanged (unless those arrows mean they've been extended). I guess I'll have to actually sit in the car to see whether it'll be enough.

Man those are some ugly seats. Looks like seats for a full sized truck.
Hey now. Some of us need wider seats. I definitely don't slide around in my Aspec seats.

Those seats look like a good balance of sporty and slightly snug, yet comfortable to me. Consider again the use case : CTR for the track. ITS for the street / road trips. Pick your priority accordingly. Fitted jeans or relaxed jeans??

I think it's perfectly reasonable to make the seats for the majority of buyers who won't ever track a car. Those who will track a lot may replace the seats anyway.

Using regular Integra seats though, that's lame.

They look more bolstered in this photo.
