Again thank the dealers and there ridiculous ADM’s. Hondas not stupid, they want there piece of the pie. Now you can understand why Canadians are appalled at this sort of sales format. All those on here a couple weeks ago that were praising good old American capitalism get it in spades right now. I feel for you guys in that respect.

Did that start in 2021? I dug up my 2020 CTR window sticker there was no up charge for CW in 2020.

Does anyone know if trading is a viable option among these? I have interest in obtaining a BB (I'm more than happy with getting SGP, it was my 2nd choice anyway) but I've been interested in knowing if it's possible to go through with a trade as long as two parties could agree. I.e. if I found someone who wanted to trade my SGP with a BB at near new value.

Do you still have to pay taxes on both cars? I think this only would work assuming both parties have paid full cash for the vehicles.

If trading colors is a viable option, maybe a trade thread for colors wouldn't be a bad idea?

Trading colors will only make sense if both dealerships will agree to a dealer trade. It’s going to be very difficult to find a dealership willing to trade an FL5 at this point in time.

Right now, it makes sense to just take whatever color you can get.

Yeah I guess I meant after two people are went through the purchase.

For example, if I purchase my car cash for x dollars and then guy B does the same and we both want each others colors, is it as simple as just trading titles and then we swap cars?

I'm with you 100%, people shouldn't be picky with colors especially in this climate. But in the off chance 2 private parties after purchasing the car are willing to trade for color, I had just wondered what that transaction between them would look like. I know you could always just wrap the car as well.

If you want a car without waiting for a long time, definitely take whatever you can get (as long as you don’t hate it)

This is like summer of 17 all over again

Super exciting

my bad I was mixing up CW with PWP, it’s only SGP and BB are an up charge.
I thought Honda said in a press release only black and red are “standard” colors this model?

I believe White/Blue/Gray are the 3 upcharges. If you look at Aspecs pictures he posted with VINs, it mentions color upcharge in the bottom left.

Yeah I can't see this being a thing, I'm sure most who are top on the lists have told their dealers they don't care about color they just want the car.

you're better off trading spots with some one who wants the other color before the purchase takes places... say you are getting bb and someone else getting sgp and both are roughly shipped in 3 weeks instead of signing papers at yours you swap dealers... but sounds like most ppl would be unwilling they just want to secure one regardless of color

Yeah this makes sense, I totally understand.

Like I said, I'm right with everyone. Take what you can get and if you are picky be ready to wait. I didn't want red or black and was hesitant with white. BB and SGP were my hopes. While BB was my #1 I settled happily with SGP.

But I'm all for the understanding the exclusivity of the car. However, if I can have my cake and eat it too...I will lol

Did you already pay? If not, here's a BB that might be close enough to check out
