I think it’ll be more fun to drive than the Type R, although the Honda will probably be the better car overall.
I think that'll depend on your definition of fun. "Engagement" would be a different question altogether.

As an owner of an AWD sports car with a cut-rate interior, the GRC is less appealing to me overall.

The Corolla Sport hatch has a nice interior, it’s probably slightly better than my Si was, so a GRC isn’t going to be cut rate.

My buddy with a boosted 86 showed me these a while ago. Apparently D4S engines use the same head or something? He lost a retainer once.

I guess it's a matter of taste then. I'm like the current Civic interior much more than the Corolla interior.

This is premiering tonight if anyone is interested! Pretty excited for this as well!
Pricing revealed on September 14th at 7am EST. I think Honda doesn't necessarily care for who reveals what first as the differences we already know speak for themselves.

Not sure if I want GRC to be more expensive than CTR or not. Toyota vaguely gestured at something sub-40k USD a while back IIRC.

That's right. We might have watched a similar video, I forgot who it was, but he mentioned talking to Toyota reps and quoted them. Probably Doug DeMuro when it was revealed.

I just see a Civic Hatchback Sport Touring for 43ish where I'm at so needless to say I have my name and money in both but it's looking grim. I would hope that the Circuit Edition would probably match the CTR because it makes the Core more appealing.

I'm not Type R or bust until we see a price. But I think I'd want it regardless lol

Same here. I'm playing the waiting game and I'm sitting on nails waiting for pricing and ADMs to drop tbh

Not a HOT lap, more like a warmish lap, and his steering grip position is all over the place, but you can get a good idea of the drivetrain, transmission and the noise it makes from a driver's POV.

^ He could at least have told us what mode he had the driveline set at - 50/50 f/r split? 60/40? 30/70?

Not a very exciting sound, but better than the stock GR86's obnoxious "augmentation".

The only two gripes are the abrupt end on the rear fender (not a big deal) and no freaking center console to rest the elbow on your shift arm? That is terrible an what did they save like 5pds?

Cant wait for all the reviews coming in. I would not consider a GR but love what they are doing.
