Oh sorry, I assumed Canadian. No idea on your side haha.
There is incentive to hype this up... Right?

Production is down..
Transitions are happening...

But I don't see anything from Honda saying you'll get this much over 3 years. I'm not saying I doubt it any more than I believe it. I must want to see a credible source say it.

This. The thread got strangely personal there for awhile, all over something that is fairly simple in nature. MSRP literally means "manufacturer suggested retail price." It means little when it comes to a product like the Type R, of which there are far more interested buyers than there are cars available (especially when they first come to market).
Exactly. And people saying they will wait for MSRP. There are a few dealers out there who never sell anything above MSRP it seems, but waiting is not going to change any dealer’s prices, and every car, no matter how much the markup, will sell just as quickly as the car with no markup lol.

What do you deem credible? An official release from Honda Canada? That isn't coming until Sept-Oct. I'm not sure anyone has anything "credible". but it's a matter of perspective. Normally if you wait for Official details you've already missed the ball on things like this.

I mean, if I could quote my source at Honda Canada on the production team I would LOL. But that isn't "official". Youre not going to get anything "official" if the price isn't even out yet.

Everyone should just read this.

https://www.goauto.ca/msrp

MSRP means fuck all in the case of the Type R. Some WILL for sure sell at MSRP, but the mass majority will not.

tbh, we shouldn't try to change their mind... Let them wait for years and years so we have less competition!

They were never in the competition, IMO. Because when push comes to shove, even if they were #1 - #2 in line and asked for $1k more they would have bailed. The dealership would have just moved to the next person.

Never considered the MSRP crowd my competition for that case.

Facts. I decided about 8 months ago I was buying one. Was willing to pay a markup to a certain extent.
Wow, good on ya for thinking ahead. I've been holding deposits on the GRC, Golf R, and Type R for around 5-6 months now LOL. Playing roulette to see which I get ROFL. I have the least faith in the Type R coming through at this point, and its the one I want most.....sigh...

Who knew buying cars would get so fucking difficult in a span of 1.5 years?

Lol... I'm a VW guy at heart. I won't do that infotainment.

So Type R it is.
Same, all the issues pushed me away from the 2022R. But I'm hoping the 2023 cleaned up 90% off the issues.

I thought I read that there will be changes but not to the infotainment. Lol. So VW...
