Flashed with Hondata yesterday. Feel great down low and in midrange. But the most boost I have seen is 22psi so far. I'll drive on it for a few more days but will probably switch back to the +9
I've been seeing the same result with my Hondata map as well. I think I saw 23 psi a few times, but it's mostly 22 max.

I have a list of the Hondata tunes sold currently; you will be receiving an update shortly, once I sort out a limit table that didn't port nicely.

I have a few datalogs to email you. Will get them out either tonight or tomorrow. 3rd gear pull saw 23 psi, 4th gear pull saw 24psi. Pretty sure I wa as WOT from 3000 rpms on both. Then a decent little cruise and a 1-2-3 soft takeoff to agressive throttle. STFT up to 7 and LTFT up to 6 but both settled back to 0 shortly after. Knock count on the hondata android app shows 0 but i saw knock control hit 5 fairly often. With the Hondata +6 and +9 maps knock control was steady at 0. Hell I was wondering if the value qas was even being read.

Knock control is represented in percentage in Hondata, and 0% is impossible. I think you're looking at another value.

Send the logs my way!

Alright... I took the car for a spin... here's my take on it:

Post flash, K.control was at .59, which is generally what I've seen in the past... as I drive, it slowly settles back to .49 (minimum). I have been able to make it rise, though the peak I'd ever previously seen was it rising from .49 to .59 after repeated 1st through 3rd pulls.

I had been previously running the 23# basemap, +1 ignition advance, boot limited to 21# until 4000 RPM previously, with the rest of the boost table (including the taper) as is. I had boost by gear for 1st set to 18#. I have the OEM summer tires and usually have no traction problems after 1st, with a chirp going into 2nd.

1st feels about the same, though a little more willing to wind it out. Substantially more torque in the midrange after first. Running the car about 1/2 way through 1st then a shift to second (RPMs falling to around 3k) shows a very noticeable amount of extra torque. Again, I had weakened the midrange so comparing the 21# basemap midrange to this one would be more appropriate than the dyno TSP put together to see where I was coming from.

I hammered it and ran it from 1st to the top of 3rd going on-ramps for the interstate. 2nd and 3rd pull generally stronger throughout. Realistically, the gains from stock to 23# basemap and 23# basemap to TSP Stage 1 are about the same... and it's diminishing returns for each equivalent bump in power so far as feel goes... but it's definitely there.

I don't drive fast, but I did give it a couple WOT bumps in 4th at ~70 mph (RPM around 4000) and the car, to me, pulled noticeable harder. After boost built (quickly) the car would be past 80 after just a moment and eager to keep going...

Boost after 1st would consistently flicker between 24-25# on the cluster. I did not notice any taper where boost fell as you approached redline... which I went to several times.

No matter what I did... K.control continued to slowly fall as I did my ~10 mile loop... lowering to .52 as I got off the interstate... then flickering between .49-.51 as I pulled into my driveway, about a mile off the interstate. I run 93 octane... and yeah, I'm not doing 100+ mph pulls, but with ambients near 90F, I was genuinely surprised. K.control reacted the same as the 23# basemap. As I'm sure this is near the limits of the little turbo on pump gas... with an intercooler that can barely keep up... I imagine it'll be a lot edgier in the winter.

The map is a big winner in my book. As long as you have realistic expectations about the power bump (the 182 to 208 going to the 23# basemap [where I've been for ~6 months]…. and all the changes the enables/adjustments made, to me, is more drastic than the 208 to 237 bump... and I was expecting that) you won't be disappointed. It definitely improves on the top end. I mean... a *lot*. If you were coming from the stock tune to this, it would be an enormous difference. I wouldn't even use the "Night and Day" phrase (which I hate, BTW) going from stock tune to 23# basemap. but stock tune to this? Yeah.

Based on the sheer economics of the thing... $79.99 for a 29 whp bump over the basemap? Under $3 per horsepower? Buy it!

Great job @D-RobIMW (and thanks for providing one with the hot map as map 1)... and thanks to @Two Step Performance for providing us a Stage Map we could buy a la carte. I *tried* to buy a different Stage map a la carte before from another vendor and was told no. I'm glad I was made to wait for this one.
Appreciate the feedback! Guess it shows the variation in KContol per vehicles as Derek indicated. When you have cars sitting at the minimum value and never moving, others moving appropriately, & some like mine which seem to be very sensitive.

Mine is now behaving closer to how yours is even on 91 with low 0.50's but stabs at 0.60-0.70 in 3rd-4th gear roll on's. Wish I had 93 to test.

Were they able to set your maps up like we were discussing? I can't get an answer.

Ok, looks like I'll be joining the crew. I'll be ordering tomorrow. Also tried to buy someone's Al la carte maps and was denied. Thanks Rob and TSP for giving us great options.

Yep. My filename had my KTuner's S/N with something like 'inverted' in it. I never tried swapping maps but I was reaching 24-25#s after 1st gear. Must have been the "hot one" in 1.

Stabs on the throttle for me just don't move K.cont... it takes a lot of sustained boost and getting IATs to rise to make it budge at all. Given my driving style, with the 23# basemap it usually sat bottomed out at .49. Anytime I've reflashed it's started off at .59 off the bat then taken a bit of driving for it to go back to .49.

My V2s back in the box, put away. For those who like having it plugged in all the time, more power to them. I find it distracting. It is great being able to see K.cont in real-time though.

My bad, it's KRetard I was looking at. KCount has remained at 0. I started up my car just to pull the datalogs from the Flashpro as I have it kind of wiremanaged into the car. Presently STrim(%) shows 7 and LTrim(%) shows 4. I'll grab a picture with my phone and email you the 4 datalog files from my drive home today.

Awesome! Hopefully they can do mine similar, I'm sure they're very busy.

My wife drives my car hard aswell and I take my unit out of the car when I'm satisfied with the tune also.
Only comes out when needed.

What's even weirder is my KContol spikes are intermittent now..... I'll have similar #'s to yours under the same driving conditions most of the time. Very strange!

Still okay with my #'s for 91 but I'm jealous of you guys!

Hi,

Hi, i just got my file as of now. Were you able to switch between map? They said they have 3 different map, but i don't see the option.
Hold the Cruise "Cancel" button for 3 seconds and let go. The Tach will jump to the number corresponding to the selected slot. Use the +/- buttons to cycle between the tunes, and when ready, press and hold cancel for 3 more seconds, then release. That selects and locks in the slot. The high powered tune is on Slot 3, in Sport Mode.

I flashed my copy this afternoon and took the car out for a few hours to test things out. First and foremost, my KCtrl on 93 octane matched Charleswrivers very closely. I started out at .59 and gradually fell until I settled around .52. I suspect that in time, I will settle back at .49 again, though it's taking longer than it did on the Vit Stage 1. My KCtrl is not sensitive to pulls on this tune: on a few pulls, KCtrl actually continued to fall.

Powerwise, it definitely feels somewhat stronger than the Vit Stage 1 in the mid-range and top end. I feel like it may hit higher boost targets earlier in the rev range. It also feels a bit more aggressive on the low end, though it's definitely still dampened. Most interestingly, I felt like when I was running on Slot 1 (which is supposed to be factory-like), it felt like Early Spool was enabled, whereas on Slot 3 (most powerful), I felt like this option was disabled. I felt that Slot 1 and 2 reminded me of running the 19.5 and 21 KTuner basemaps with Early Spool on, and all Quick Enhancements increased a few notches. Slot 3 felt like some of these Enhancements were reduced (particularly Early Spool, which felt unchecked), but in exchange it had way more pull once you were moving in the mid/high ranges.

I did note that my LTFT's on Slot 3 (highest power) were more off than they were on the Vit Stage 1. I made sure to let the car sit at idle for ~5 mins, and during that time, LTFT gradually became more and more negative. I believe that it peaked at -7%. I currently have the PRL Cobra Street MAF, so I'm not sure what this means. I'm assuming that the ECU is reducing fuel output to account for reduced airflow to keep AfR's on target, but I'm unclear on whether this is resulting in less power? Not sure, but I'll be keeping a close eye on it.

Final thoughts and questions; overall I am very happy with my purchase. I've been looking for a worthy replacement for my V2.0 Vit Stage 1 tune ever since Vit stiffed me on the copy that was supposed to come with my V1.2. I am very pleased to say that this tune is even better: I'd call it a Stage 1.5 tune by comparison. I will definitely be keeping an eye on my fuel trims. My idle LTFT has been around -3% ever since I installed my PRL Cobra CAI, and on this tune, it does appear to be sinking a little bit further. No worries on KCtrl though, which is awesome. I am wondering if Anti-Lag is on, since I noticed my boost building a bit when I revved the engine in neutral? And I'm also curious about those who are seeing 24 psi in 1st, as I don't think that I've ever seen double digit boost in first on any tune? Anyway, all in all I am super happy. The tune may have cost me $85, but with the ability to finally sell my KTuner V2, I'll be making that back several times over. Thanks @D-RobIMW !
