It's been about two weeks since I've flashed my '16 EX-T sedan with the +6 basemap. The gains are definitely noticeable and I would think this is what an SI would feel like (even though I haven't been in one before lol). I just purchased an Injen SRI today. Waiting for it to come in the mail and will be re-flashing to the +6 psi Injen SRI basemap once everything is installed. Will definitely update!
Looking forward to the update. Curious if the SRI adds much beyond sound. Also wondering if heat soak will be an issue.

I never had such issues. Only a few people I know of have had this happen. I wonder if it's just a coincidental thing.

Had a crazy drive home on the highway today. Two large dump trucks ahead of me in my lane were spewing gravel out. So, I gunned the car to pass them and kept the pedal to the floor. With the +6 it wasn't long before I passed them (they were doing about 65 mph) and when I finally looked at my speedo I was well into triple digits very quickly. I then slowed down...

Note: I do not street race. This was me powering out of a situation to avoid damage to my car.
Yeah, and if I recall the one guy saying that FP reset his MM oil maintenance, but he did mention he was past due for an oil change. Wonder if that could have caused it.

Another perfect example of why the +6 tune is perfect for a commuter car. Confidence.

I needed to merge into the slow lane to get to a ramp for the highway. There was a line of 7 cars there with a very small gap. So .. I gave it just a bit of gas and zoomed by everyone and did it with ease. No drama. Without the tune, I may not have even tried.

IMO this base tune makes my car much, much safer and way more fun.

Got my FP this past Saturday, but haven't installed it yet. Don't know what I am waiting for LOL

Will the FP ask me to select fuel grade when installing the base +6 map. Everything I have is stock except a K & N filter. Also, like yourself, does it give me the setting to select for econ mode to be stock mode?

No selection of fuel grade needed. But the higher octane the better it will run. As far as Hondata mode (econ button as stock tune) just put a checkmark next to it. I believe it is under the torque limit settings if I recall correctly.

Ok, for anybody on the fence about getting a tune. Do it. The base tunes are conservative but make a huge difference from stock. It must have been a full moon today because people were driving more stupid then usual around here. I powered out of many situations and was passing cars so easily with just light throttle.

The only area where this tune hasn't made much of a difference is in those situations where you're driving along slowly and then you quickly have to go full throttle. The lag from the slow CVT logic and a bit of turbo lag is still there. So, the tune isn't perfect but it's damn good overall.

@gtman any thoughts on strut bars?
I have the solid one piece Ultra Racing bar and it definitely tightened the front end. It's especially noticeable in quick lane changes. Not the best looking bar but it does the job well.

The Sirimoto is ok. Because it is 3 pieces I think it isn't quite as rigid as the UR one. Should be fine though.
Your Strut bar looks more durable than the Sirimoto's version.

It is. I had the Sirimoto and replaced it with the UR bar. The UR bar feels stiffer when you really push the car hard. But, it's a lot pricier, so there's that.
