Best place to get them?

I won’t buy from ICB so that’s out.
Thinking of hitting up https://desmondwheels.co.uk/

At least for what the Google AI told me is this if you buy something that goes above $800 the tariffs will not apply but here is the answer for it:

1. Will You Be Paying VAT?

No, you will not pay UK VAT.

• The Desmond Wheels website is UK-based, and its prices likely include the 20% UK VAT.

• Since the wheels are being exported to the US, the 20% UK VAT should be deducted from the price when you enter your Texas shipping address at checkout. You will pay the ex-VAT (Value Added Tax) price for the goods.

However, you will be responsible for paying US import duties and local taxes (which in Texas is a state/local sales tax, not VAT).

2. How Much Will the Total Cost Be Including Tariff?

The total cost will be the Ex-VAT Price + Shipping Cost + US Customs Duty + Texas Sales Tax.

A. US Customs Duty (Tariff)

The specific Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code for imported car wheels (typically 8708.70.45) often carries a low standard duty rate. Based on typical classifications for road wheels:

• Tariff Rate: The base tariff rate for alloy road wheels is often 2.5% ad valorem (of the item value).

• De Minimis Threshold: The U.S. has a "de minimis" threshold of $800. If the total value of your shipment (wheels + shipping) is $800 or less, the shipment is typically duty-free and you will pay nothing for the tariff.

• Section 232 Tariffs: While there were historical tariffs on raw aluminum, finished automotive parts like wheels, especially those originating from the UK, are generally not subject to the high Section 232 or Section 301 tariffs, which usually target products from specific countries like China. The UK has been exempted from some of the steel/aluminum tariffs.

Conclusion on Tariff:

• If the total value (wheels + shipping) is under $800: Tariff is $0.00.

• If the total value is over $800: Expect to pay approximately 2.5% of the merchandise value in duty.

At least with the UK that’s the situation with the tariffs don’t know if will affect also the cost of shipping and the tax involved will be more of the cost but a set of 19 on that website is 3,800 including VAT and for what I gather because will be imported to the US is 20% less of that number plus tax, shipping and duties( including tariffs)

I accidentally bought my dreamworks seat covers from Dreamworks (UK) instead of a US supplier and paid a 1/4 of the total cost in dues 🫠

This UK website seems to have the best pricing and in stock. Might be worth it

Did you read the whole thing? I didn’t imply anything about getting regamasters at 800 I implied what Google told me in regards of tariffs; here is what I said "At least for what the Google AI told me is this if you buy something that goes above $800 the tariffs will not apply but here is the answer for it:"

Yeah I skimmed it because they seemed like a lot of copy pasta for a "yes you will definitely pay tariffs for anything barely resembling wheels".

We all know AI is not very helpful beyond what regular Google search tells you, particularly when policy is changing on a weekly basis and announced via nontraditional channels.

Googling UK auto parts tariffs, or UK alloy wheels tariffs appears to imply de minimis has been removed (as it has for imports from pretty much every country) and reciprocal tariffs sets the rate at 10%.
https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-10240/

But someone with recent experience with a particular vendor and part type, or has contact with a broker, will always be the most valuable feedback. YMMV.

De minimis threshold ended 8/31. Regardless of value, you’re going to owe tariffs when it hits customs. UPS and FedEx have been completely unpredictable in what you will owe too. Since wheels are metal, I’m sure they will try to royally screw you.

It's because they've added tariff increases on stock that they've had on hand way before all this tariff BS started.
That’s outrageous and how everyone takes advantage of it is like the times of uncertainty on 2020 that lead to all this over MSSP on everything. And if everything stabilizes or something they never go back to normal again they keep scamming people, that’s why is so hard to trust even if you talk with brokers or whatsoever all of them will be taking advantage of you at the end of the day.

New to the game here and wondering how that claim could be proven? Not picking a side but also not going to just believe a random take without evidence. I’m genuinely curious because I’ve been on the fence with placing an order.

I was actually thinking to myself that ICB taking the 15% hit and only passing 10% on to consumers was pretty standup. Like I said though, new to the game.

I frequent the site often just to see what kind of rare JDM parts they acquire. So, I've seen what has been in stock and what hasn't before/after tariff wars. OP has stated the same in a different post also.
