Hi everyone!
I just joined the FL5 family this past week and have driven around 250 miles.

It might be just in my head but my shift feel changed after accidentally driving over road that had the top asphalt layer taken off for construction.
It almost feels like each gear has two notches before it’s fully shifted into the gear. But if I go back to neutral and straight back to the same gear, it feels like 1 smooth motion.

1st -> 2nd (feels rough, 2~3 clicks)
2nd -> N (smooth)
N-> 2nd (smooth on motion, “snick”)

Is this a normal occurrence? I’ve heard the FL5 has 1->2 issues but I’ve noticed this feeling for every gear till 6th.

Thanks to all in advance and I’d appreciate any thoughts.

If you're feeling this while just sitting stationary, that's completely normal for any synchronized manual transmission. The synchro has to line up the gears, and it does that when you initially shift into a gear. If you then go back to neutral and select the same gear again, there's nothing for the synchro to do, so you feel less going on through the shift lever.

Very good description.

I use rev matching feature..I enjoy the click-click gear change..I can shift in one stroke if I want to, but, hey..I am not setting lap records at some German road.If I was, I would use a lower 6th gear so it would pull harder in 6th..and I would use 30 pounds of boost..all day long..
