Went to my first car & coffee, randonly parked next to some type R, and also met my track partner at the car & coffee
11th Gen Honda Civic Steve's FL5 Type R build thread IMG_3485

Started to go to track. At this point, only the brake fluid was changed. Very stock
11th Gen Honda Civic Steve's FL5 Type R build thread IMG_4620

Surprisingly find the watch still had stock when I went back to Taiwan by the end of 2023
11th Gen Honda Civic Steve's FL5 Type R build thread IMG_5978

Got the wheel from the "parts for sale" here. It traveled all the way from Washington state to Florida. Paired with conti extremecontact 275/35/18. It was on sale, buy 3 and get 4th free.

Couple weeks later, the front camber joint is on, and already can see it will be a lot work to get the suspension out...

Recaro Salia, this is a old model, not the latest XENON. But it is the same price... I may try to get that one the next time I went back to Taiwan by myself lol
But this one come with red, the latest XENON does not.

DBA rotor has contact with the rotor shield... just FYI

The sticker translate directly "I am slow", but it should really be "Ya, I am slow, so what"
11th Gen Honda Civic Steve's FL5 Type R build thread IMG_3520

The last moment of the endless CCRG, this is why I have project mu in the front and endless in the rear lol

Plan for this year 2026:

Has been debating if I should get a bucket seat, but I think I will pull the trigger very soon.
I may just stay with stock power for now, but I am hoping to get WOT radiator to fight the Florida weather.
Also has been looking at LSD, but the labor is really the killer... Maybe when mt transmission is done for a big repair, I will add the LSD to the list.

Thank you all for reading the whole thing till here. And feel free let me know any suggestion.

Make the drive up to VIR in May, Memorial Day weekend for the “second annual type R track meet”.

I had purchased Recaro baby seat from the EU since Recaro exited the US market for baby seats. Then I found out that the model I bought had recalls (not my serial number/batch). Then I just decided to chuck it. Seeing how they exited because of recalls. What’s the point of matching when it’s my kid sitting in it.

I was just looking at that event :)

Recaro's exit out of the US market has been a sad loss, there could have been many things done better by corporate.

Following for updates! Rays NE24 look great, I'm surprised they haven't caught on more.

Those Recaro Baby Seats are so hard to get a hold of as well
Apparently US baby seat market is very different to the rest of the world...
In Asia or Europe, most car seat are ISO-fix with a post/leg in the front, and with the revolve feature for easier in & out. When I purchase the nuna seat in US and when I was reading the manual... I was so surprised to see it is using the seatbelt and not able to revolve...

I know recaro baby is not available, so I fly with it back to US. It is a baby seat, so I can check-in as a luggage. No need to pay extra since it is not over weight.

BTW, Sparco is also making car seat.

I really want to go, but not sure if my wife would let me... gonna need a good planning and a good talk with her... lol

I used to live in NYC, and had driven GTI, mini coopers, WRX... If I am still at NYC, I don't think I will get type R and start to go to track...
