Those look great. I don't see 18x8s listed on Tirerack, only 18x8.5, though they come in black also - not many choices in 18x8.

We have an FL5 on order, and it'll be my wife's commuter car, so we'll need a winter set unless we get a 3rd car.

I think the Konig Ampliforms look good also, come in 18 x 8.5. I prefer as narrow as possible for Massachusetts winters.

Heyy, I'd gladly sell you these if you haven't picked up a set as of yet. DM me. I'm located in upstate NY, so I understand how brutal these winters can be, especially when this is a daily.

Thanks, we haven't decided yet if we'll use the Type R in the winter or buy another car.

Didn't you just get the set? You not happy with it?

So what's the consensus on cheapest 18 wheels that work and clear rotors?

I don't care to spend money on Wheels since they're for winter but I will spend my money on good winter tires instead

Bought these for $500 with tires got a hell of a deal.

ASA GT14 wheels 19X8.5 5x120 45mm offset.

The tires are Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 XL snow and ice and the specs are 245/35R-19

Look and sit better than my Type R forged.

I really appreciate this forum and it's members - thank you for all of the knowledge sharing. Just got my Winter Set from Tire Rack and got em installed on the Type R today.

Rims: Enkei Raijins 18 x 8 +42, 5 x 120
Tires: MICHELIN® Pilot® Alpin® 5 - 235/40/18
Just got the same wheels (black and 8.5") installed on my car for the winter. Tires are 235/40 Goodyear Weatherready (with the snowflake symbol).

The car is weirdly comfortable on these tires. :D

8.5 is a little too wide for 235s but the 8.0s weren't available from Tirerack, at least it didn't list it as an option for the Type R.
