What did you pay for your Spring install in your area ?

Did you pay over or under $700.00 for your spring install only on your FL5?

I could not believe the price differential between shops in my area. It ranged from 450.00 to 2200.00 ?
The most reputable and knowledgeable shop was the best price . My only guess is the shops with the high prices weren’t familiar with what’s involved nor wanted to do it .
Anyway just curious what you guys might of payed in your area and were your quotes a crazy price difference?
Also just to note the shop that quoted me 2200 didn’t even want the job he basically told me. But I did call him out since he was the highest and apparently he wasn’t happy ?

We charge 3 hours for spring install. It should range from 3-4 hours generally. Alignment separate (we dont do alignments so we contract it out to another shop close by). Let me guess - was the $450 3 hours @ $150/hr?

Can't comment on the spring install cost, but my alignment after was almost $300 and aside from trash talking me and the car, they didn't even do it correctly. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

Yes Exactly he said 3 to 3 1/2 hours but 450 would be the total not including the alignment .
Thanks for your input and it’s nice to know there are knowledgeable and reasonable shops around like yourself ??

Oh man sorry to hear that :( it can happen to the best of though we’re kind of at their mercy within reason that is.
My alignment quote after letting the suspension settle in for a few weeks was $175.00

That's really good. I did the spring install myself, so that's why I couldn't comment on that. Wish there was someplace to rent alignment rack time so I could have done it properly myself.

Very true and like my Dad use to tell me growing up , Sometimes to find the best helping hand its at the end of your arm ?
I’m good at the basics like oil changes , brakes but didn’t want to tackle the coils on my back in my driveway going through the learning curve and messing with a coil spring compressor not knowing what I was doing lol.

Totally understand. I was installing a new clutch at the same time, otherwise the suspension would have been awful to do alone. I at least have quick jacks so it's better than just jack stands.

I’ll be more than happy to refer you after I get them installed next month and they were booked up until August but there going to get me in a little earlier . Looks like @HKSpeed also found another great dealer that shows a starting price less then mine . Could be another great option but like I said once I get mine done and everything goes well I’ll hook you up ??
What Springs did you get or planning to get ?

Hi there

I got the spring swap, alignment done & anti corrosion treatment for all exposed parts done for £450 in NE Scotland. My mechanic isn't the cheapest but is very thorough & treats my car like it was his own..
11th Gen Honda Civic What did you pay for your Spring install in your area ? 20250507_185020
