I've been dealing with this issue since May. No solution yet. Tail Light gaskets changed, no dice. Have been waiting since September for a plastic clip and a hinge. Absolutely nothing. Quite honestly, I'm tired of this.
I just bought a brand new '24 HB a week ago. It was just delivered that to the dealer that day so a brand new build. I thought it was leaking yesterday from the hatch because the window tint guys maybe washed it, but nope. They didn't wash it. It was simply from the heavy dew both yesterday and today. The hatch lid has a bunch of water inside it that drips out of the little seam onto your head when you open it. Doesn't seem like Honda has fixed this yet.
I thought mine was fixed but, it leaked yesterday from the rain we've gotten over the past while. They replaced a clip that they thought was the culprit. I've shown them before where the issue was. Need to call them about this and get it back in.
I drilled 4 tiny holes where the dimples are in the plastic using a #40 drill bit. You can barely tell the holes are there, but at least now it properly drains any water onto the bumper. I figured I'd go this route instead of having the dealer much about not knowing how to fix it. I also wanted to drill them myself to make sure I did it cleanly. Works great.
I'm going to hold them to fixing this. They just need figure it out and stop throwing darts at a dartboard trying to fix it. I've provided them the video of where the problem has been observed from youtube.
I think the leaky hatch will finally come to a conclusion. After replacing the glass seal, it was better but still leaked. Today it went back in and they found the leak that I told them about a few months ago on the right side of the hatch where the rivet and washer is pushed out. They put some sealant on it and it tested ok. I've been dealing with this issue since May 2023 and it ended up having them replace the privacy cover around the glass as it was molded/mildew from the dampness.
For anyone interested here is the youtube video that describes it:
