Update :

Just started flushing my brakes with speedi bleed for the first time and literally my bottle cap is broken. This sucks because I just sucked out my fluid and my car is basically undriverable until I finish this.

Going to have to run to an auto store and buy whatever vacuum bleeder I can find.

You don’t need a vacuum bleeder - literally all you need is a bleeder bottle with a check valve for like $15. I pretty much never use my vacuum bleeder because it doesn’t really save you a meaningful amount of time and tends to waste more brake fluid than necessary.

Are you talking about gravity bleeding?

Yeah and I agree, it was my first time doing and I freaked out. I was stressing out trying to get different parts and a work around. After getting fed up I had a friend come help me and do the 2 person method and it worked fine.

Pretty sure I use way more brake fluid then needed but I wanted to make sure. I hsd the check valves and they worked perfectly.

I recently purchased a bleeding wrench with a check valve. They are quite common with motorcycle guys, so it got my interest. If the seal works fine, it should be really fast to bleed the brakes. After all, I usually take longer to install the tubing in each bleeding nipple than actually bleeding the system.

Has someone used one of these before?

Late reply but I just used these the other day, I got them in a kit and they worked perfectly.

Thank you for that. I bled my brakes a few weeks ago, but still used the 2 persons method. I did use a bleeding adapter to speed things up: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08X1WDR3J/
Hmm, yeah I never used a flare nut, I bought the ones with the check valve and it worked really good. I used the 2 person method because my vacuum bleeder broke.

I haven't used the typical flare nut, only the check valve wrenches. Really hard to say which one is better, since basically they are doing the same thing.

I've had an inexpensive Mityvac bleeder since the 80's. It's worked for all my cars and motorcycles since then. The vacuum pump needed a couple drops of silicone oil once, otherwise fine for all these years.
The Mityvac collection bottle is smaller than a car master cylinder reservoir, so just refill the master as you go.

I use the speedi-bleed with their Honda cap. Very easy to use and the cap fits perfect.

You still liking this?
I want one but I’ve read on a few forums that tire air typically contains moisture and that’s the last thing I want to pump into brake fluid that sees track time. Curious if you’ve had any concerns in that area?
