Nice that's pretty close to home. I'll need to check out this class, I haven't looked at TT at all.
SCCA runs a great program. I love Time Trials and Time Attack. So much so, that I can't do HPDE.

Anyone going to be at Lime Rock next wednesday with Masstuning?
or Friday with SCDA?

Going to 1 of these 2, leaning towards Masstuning because weather is nicer on wednesday but I do prefer SCDA even though its 150 bucks more expensive and you get less track time.

@svvitch thanks for the tag! Yep, that is me. I'm still getting used to the car (this is only my 2nd track event with it), so I know there's more time in it as I'm still off a few mph from where I think I should be in some spots, but we'll see if I can eek out any improvement tomorrow morning. Today was a throwaway as the track was terrible in the afternoon after morning rain, despite fairly cool temps.

Here's my fastest lap so far from yesterday - hopefully I can continue to improve tomorrow!

Holy shit that's quick around NCM. I may have questions later once I can watch again ?

Unfortunately I wasn't able to improve on my best today - the track seemed a little off to me (it was very cold during the first session), but I was able to get my Saturday/Sunday Segment 2 time within 0.4s of my Thursday/Friday Segment 1 time.

For those curious, there were supposed to be two additional segments yesterday (an East course track sprint and a West course timed lap), but due to rain which created both a logistical and competition integrity nightmare those were cancelled and replaced with full track sessions that counted for what became segment 2.

That said I managed to hold on for the class win against Calvin in another FL5. 3rd is listed as a 2000 Civic but that was actually an FK8 Type R, so it was an all Type R podium!

My 2:18.8 lap above also broke the previous Sport 3 record by 2.1s, so I was able to claim that as well! I'm pretty happy overall - there was more time out there but I'm still getting familiar with the car, and NCM is notorious for being very impacted by sun loading so you really have to fully trust the car when the track happens to be at it's best, and this was my first real track event with the FL5. I am however certainly looking forward to more events with it!

Thanks!
If this was your first in the FL5, then definitely there is more to come. Congrats on multiple accomplishments.

Thanks! Prior to this I was able to get a few laps in at Nashville Super Speedway at a TNiA just to feel out the car at speed, but while that's a fun track it's so different in terms of layout and corner speeds it wasn't really a good test of the car, so this was the first real event.

Unrelated: I also need to figure out a camera spot I like - I'm not happy with anything I've tried lol.

After NCM I'm almost about to crack 1500mi on the ODO too. ?

this is awesome, congrats! very impressive.

As for camera position yeah no real good place to put it, I put mine in the helmet on the right when I decide to record (usually get lazy and don't). You could put it on the roof light? 3M tape with a small arm might work
