I used to complain about the GTR tax and now I realize there is a Type R tax! Who has replaced their windshields lately? 3k for a honda windshield who knew.

So I was told an Si windshield works for the ctr for a third of the price. I wonder if that applies to the dc5 with a base integra?
Shhhh some people here will deny the Type R tax exists. ?I used to complain about the GTR tax and now I realize there is a Type R tax! Who has replaced their windshields lately? 3k for a honda windshield who knew.
Looks legit!The bandaid fix.

That’s not going to work—the owner’s manual specially recommends Hot Wheels band-aids.The bandaid fix.
Not sure of the origin of this statement, but the automotive glass market has been very strange at least since Covid. This could be an upcharge inserted in a bunch of different ways. I'm not familiar with the true supply chain for glass but I had to replace a windshield in another car (not a Honda) a few years ago and had some WILDLY varying estimates, all apparently for OEM glass. It gets even worse with aftermarket glass, which if you're not specifically asking for OEM, you could easily end up with as a replacement.Shhhh some people here will deny the Type R tax exists. ?
No way this type r tax is for real. More of us will be talking about it soon.Shhhh some people here will deny the Type R tax exists. ?

It didn't take much to chip my glass. I'm almost certain glass nowadays is not as good as back in the days. With the shoring cost on everything I agree ? glass coverage is key.250 miles on the odometer and I had a small crack in the windshield from a rock that shot out from the back of another car. The crack was not fillable so I requested for an OEM glass replacement. Long story short, don’t go through Safelight. They will try to make as much money off you as possible. Even if you have glass coverage. I found a reputable shop that the dealership I bought the car from goes to for all glass services. Two weeks later, my $50 glass coverage got me an OEM windshield.
