I think it only matters in the following 2 points:

the stock wheels (according to Google) weigh anywhere between 25-26 pounds. It’s a 19x9.5” wheel. If not for it being flow formed this wheel would’ve easily been 29-30 pounds. Shedding that much weight by only addressing the barrel is impressive imo

also. A turbo 4 cylinder based off a civic that included flow formed wheels is pretty amazing because it’s rare to see that.

but that’s it. Cuz even the cheapest most Mickey Mouse forged 19x10” is probably gonna come in at 19-20 pounds. You know?

I was just genuinely curious if they were or not. They just seemed suspiciously light for casted wheels imo. Frankly, forged is the way to go. Currently saving up for the factory fl5 forged wheels myself. I wanna get them powder coated in that nice de5 copper wheel option color. I’m still maybe a year away from that
Note: The 19 inch RF50rr require a 3mm spacer.
You can buy matte black or bronze Superspeed Rf05rr for under $1000 a set. They are flow formed, lighter (20.8lbs) than the Honda forged wheel and far cheaper to buy (and replace when you inevitably destroy one thanks to the 30 series OEM tire). 19x9.5 +40 in 5x120.

SO a quick update: Not only does the car look better with the 275/35-19 Vredestein Hypertracs, but it is sooooo much better all around! Nicer ride and I actually have some cold/frosty/salty grip! I did take it around the block yesterday in some snowy icy remnants on the road and it did well enough that I'm not worried about snow's.

We'll see this week as it's supposed to do something by later in the week. But if these tires are 1/2 as good as they were on the TLX Type s? I'm' NOT worried! :)

Great wheels - I’ve had 3 different sets of RF05RR between my FK8 and FC1 SI. I was excited for the 19’s but a test fit with a customer yielded that the spoke profile of the 19x9.5 +40 wouldn’t clear the front calipers. A 3mm spacer is required.

Eh, I don't think there's precedent for that.
My Evo X MR came with forged BBS and my Z Performance came with forged Rays, but they're both upper trims. I'm sure if there was a Type R+ of some kind, that trim would come standard with forged wheels.

I was trying to be considerate with my words. Your point and mine are the same; there are only a handful of forged wheels that come standard on factory vehicles, and generally they're still in the higher echelon of trim packages. I think Ford and Chevy offer similar packages including forged wheels for the Mustang and Corvette, respectively- and even Hyundai I read somewhere offers a forged wheel option for one of their N cars.

But really, expecting forged wheels at this price point is not reasonable based on available evidence.
