I switched to Michelin pilot sport A/S 4 because I wasn't a fan of the turn-in feel of the DWS06+. The DWS06+ have a softer and quieter ride but that's not for me, the Michelins have a firmer steering feel which I prefer.

Ahhh... Thank you for that.

When I put the same spec tire on I noticed this as well. I was able to improve it by lowering the car/rigid collars. I can't attribute the improvement directly to one or the other since I installed them at the same time time. I will likely put on my OEM 19s at some point to see what it's like.

Glad to know the pilot a/s improved it also.

I've been pleased with the Continentals.

No problem at all.
Good to hear lowering/rigid collars helped out, I'm considering going for those at some point. What option did you go for to lower yours? And did you go with spoon for the rigid collars?

Spoon for both.

I chose the springs because they, at least by description were the smallest drop. This is.. at the moment my daily.

Spoon Collars too...

I instantly was pleased. Noises in the cabin I once had were gone. The feeling of the car settling in on a turn was gone.

It handles road imperfections better in the sense that they seem like less of an event. If you want to call that better ride quality so be it but I wouldn't go as far as to say that it provides additional comfort.

The low rear arch or high front gives off a raked look that I would prefer not to have but it is far from a deal breaker.

Would you mind going into more details between the differences between the DWS06+ and Michelins. Can't decide between the two, and I think I'm splitting hairs and overthinking.

Appreciate the details on the rigid collars. I was looking at these and heard good things.

Take OPs thoughts over mine...

I chose the Continentals because of reported superior performance in poor weather and equal performance in ideal conditions.

Only knowing the impact of the Conti I will say the steering feel changed and it was immediately apparent. Of course my wheel weight, diameter and offset also changed.

I would be interested in knowing the change from the OEM wheel to the Michelin A/S and any additional info too.

Probably the main difference that mattered to me when switching was the turn-in feel, I found the DWS06+ to be a little slower in turn-in with a cushier steering feel compared to the Michelins. On the other hand I noticed the DWS06+ have a more cushioned ride, so bump/irregularities in the road are less rough with them, they're also noticably quieter. After switching to the Michelins I had to take a second to figure out where the extra noise was coming from, until I realized it was the tires. On paper I also saw that the DWS06+ has superior performance in the wet and snow, but I drive pretty conservatively in those conditions so I can't really say I personally felt a difference in those areas.

I guess I have to go for the spoon collars too then haha, I've been going back and forth on what springs to get and the eibach pro kit or h&r look relatively conservative while getting rid of the rake, they're also cheaper than spoon so it's a tough choice...

OEM vs A/S: I only drove the OEM setup for around 250 miles but I can say I did notice the Michelin A/S still did have a slower turn-in than the OEM setup and also absorbs bumps better, it's probably just the tradeoff of going to 18in wheels with all-seasons. The turn-in performance is definitely close enough to OEM to make me not consider going for summer tires or back to OEM

I too have the DWS06 all seasons. Amazing all season tire. I prefer these over the stock Michelin Pilot 4S summer tire that this car came stock with. I have run many tire brands and by far my favorite all season brand. Will never go back to anything else
