30 day check-in (IG: @tai_par). Just shy of 1k miles and loving every moment. Quick take:
Impressed List:
Impressed List:
- Tracks like it's on rails. The modern platform is incredibly stiff and stable...so impressed. Corners fairly neutral for a FWD if you stay on power.
- Turbo pulls are so addicting (my first non-NA car). The torque towards the end of rev band puts it quickly in the limiter !
- Shifting is tight and precise...just amazing. I'm coming from a decade of S2000 ownership.
- Feel super secure in the OEM seats and after adjusting it to the lowest setting, it feels like I'm "sitting in" the car.
- Subjective...atheistically it looks amazing. Between the Champ white, low stance and flared fenders, there's nothing like it on the road. True classic...
- The "search" process was difficult. Inventory was low and prices were ridiculous near me. Had an amazing experience with Great Lakes Honda in Akron (ask for Gina)!
- FWD does pull different than RWD. On hard pulls, steering wheel wanders and you can feel it in the hands.
- Motor runs HOT! There's a bunch of guidance on how to run it cooler, but will see on my first track day if they are necessary.
- In R+, the dampening toughness is not drivable on public roads. Fortunately you can customize via "Individual".
- Gas tank size is atrocious. I get around 300 miles per tank and feel like the "average" tank left is too conservative.
- Android auto on wireless constantly disconnects. Disconnecting OEM nav helps AND the Bose audio was so-so at first, but seemed to open up after a couple of weeks.
- Wireless charger is useless...it's more like a phone warmer. Using Android Auto makes my phone loss battery faster than it charges the phone.
- Had to add auto dimming / homelink rear view mirror (was a must have for me).
