All the people suggesting road tripping back to California must not live in cold climates. Driving in freezing/snow across the country with the stock Michelin PS4S is a bad idea...
Driving back was out of the question for me. Work takes priority and don't want to risk rock chips, which will happen with long distance driving. Would much rather pay $1300-$1500 to have the car shipped back, which I'm doing. The plan is for my CTR to go straight to the PPF shop.

Which is why I am planning to wait for late spring, and will combine it with my son's graduation from WVU.

I can fly a few days earlier to Cleveland or Pittsburgh (or anywhere else within 2-3 hours drive), pick up the car, and drive to the graduation, saving a bit on rental car.

That said, if I can find a SoCal dealer for slightly over MSRP, with no dealer installed options, I'll get it locally.

Patience is a virtue...

Reliable, Intercity, and Thomas Sunday are solid. Montway Auto Transport and Sherpa Auto Transport are decent in my experience; however, they are auto transport brokers. In other words, they are middlemen who place cars with one of many carriers they work with. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's important you know the difference. No matter who you select there are actions you should take to increase the likelihood of an excellent customer experience. A few items to consider:

1. If you requested the OEM floormats remain in the plastic bag it comes in, there will be no floor mats in the car. Have the dealership place paper floormats for all four seating positions.
2. If the plastic seat covers the car arrived at the dealership have been removed, have the dealership place the plastic seat protector Service uses on both front seats.
3. Work with the dealership to protect the key fobs from getting marred up when they are handed over to the auto transport company.
4. Request extensive interior and exterior photos of the car before pick up.
Both of my fobs were handed to me marred already. Do you know any ways to make them look nicer? Thanks

If the hard plastic portion (shell) of the fob is damaged, there's isn't much you can do. The prime area for damage is the soft-ish touch area on the back of the fob with the signature red H emblem. For that area, you can polish it out.

The above photo shows the fob after light polishing. A little more work was put into it after. It's ended up being in a really good place. I ended up putting a case on both fobs shortly after.

Curious what you used to polish?

when I scratched my watch, cheap Casio with an acrylic crystal, a regular polishing compound did more damage... I ended up using toothpaste and electric toothbrush... worked like a charm!

A soft polishing mini pad (the microfiber variety) and some Menzerna finishing polish was used. It was done by hand.
