Youtube channel Project Farm tested quite a few auto ceramic coatings and a Turtle Wax spray came out on top. The price is under $20 for a bottle.
My car still looks new, so I haven't done wax or ceramic coating yet. The salesman claimed they waxed the car before delivery, but sales folks are known to hedge the truth.
Most of those were spray-on coatings, they're more of a "ceramic light". They typically only last for 3-6 months. Actual ceramic coatings applied with an applicator will usually last anywhere from 3-5 years, or longer.

Those short term coatings are a waste of time and money. I've used quite a few of the ceramic coatings over the years and GTECHNIQ CSL + EXOv5 + C2V3 is a fantastic consumer grade coating. There's no need to for a professional grade coating - Modesta BC-04/05, GTECHNIQ CSU, etc.

man the prices yall are getting for ppf are crazy different from what I see here in Charlotte. I was quoted roughly $2200 for ppf on the bumper/hood/fenders/headlights/mirrors

One big variable is the film used. A lot of shops quote for 8mil film unless you specifically request the 10mil.

actually ended up being $2100 for the entire front / mirrors / fenders or $1050 for bumper/hood/headlights (suntek). strongly debating it tbh

I put film on every vehicle's headlights I own as it prevents the yellowing and hazing you see most cars suffer from.
