Congratulations! Sheโs a beauty and be ready to love it more and more every day. They really are a special well rounded car ????I'm new to this forum and here is my quick purchase story. For the last couple of weeks I was encouraging a friend to purchase a Type R over options such as the GR Corolla. The more I thought about the CTR, the more interested I became in purchasing one for myself. The same friend mentioned that Honda World Downey was selling with fewer accessories and a lower markup. I reached out to them and negotiated a $1500 markup (which included the accessories). I was thinking, even if I find an MSRP dealership somewhere in the mid west, enclosed shipping will be $1500 or more. I accepted the offer and took a one hour flight down to Southern California and had a really fun 6-7 hour drive home on I-5.
I'd highly recommend Honda World Downey; Raul from sales was very honest and professional.
I'm getting front end PPF installed today, and after that, I'll really enjoy this new daily driver.

Where do you park the horse and carriage? ?I picked up R #11422 last fall. Sold a 2001 E430 and 1972 280SE. I wanted to get back into a better daily that I can track. It was fun having a classic cruiser just not for me long term. It showed up VERY dirty and took quite a bit of work prior to PPF. 6k miles so far love it so much.

LOL I wanted to replace it. I like the experiences so every year or two I replace what I have. Although I think the R will last a while.Where do you park the horse and carriage? ?
Nice cars. Shame you had to replace it.
I miss the looks it was a fun car to run errands in. But no car seats in back and just ok AC made it hard to drive in peak summer. Very reliable though which was surprising.Wow... that was a sacrifice. Hope it didn't hurt too badly. You now have such a great car...but hope you will be happy enough to not regret. Yes, the versatility of the CTR is off the charts, so as a daily+track, you picked a good one!

Yea I did a fair bit but when you get into electronics or drivetrain it's a bit harder. It was fuel injected and computer controlled. Mercedes still make a lot of parts surprisingly. Either way I have always wanted a type r so here we are ?I guess with the older cars, you need to be able to work on it yourself if you want to keep it around. Which is a hard thing to do. Definitely canโt track that car.
