Hello. My fl5 just recently touched down in the united states. I await delivery. I have already bought 2019 honda pilot wheels. Wheels are 18x8, same bolt pattern and hub bore. I believe offset to be +55. What is the tallest overall setup you guys have seen on a ctr? I will daily this in the winter. I am looking into the bridestone blizzak tires as i get decent snow around me. I am considering 235/245 width and 40-50 aspect ratio. Tire rack has a closeout sale on 245/50/18. theyre 100$ a pop which is 150$ cheaper (per) than the 40/45 aspect ration tires. This 245/50/18 will be around 2 inches taller than the stock tire setup. I have seen multiple fk8s running and setup with overall height of 26.8. Any info would be appreciated. No fl5s in my area so i cant inspect a car up close and personal until mine arrives in a couple of weeks. Thank you all for your time

I'm on 275/35/19 with stock suspension and have plenty of clearance at 26.6in tire height. Just waiting on my 15mm spacers to finally get here so I don't look so tucked in.

Did you ever get the spacers for this setup? Any issues with it if you did?

Challenge accepted.

So, did you ever install those Pilot 18 x 8" wheels? What tire size you get?
I'll be disappointed to see anything smaller than a 255/50 R 18 on them bad boys.

Photos, please!

245/50/18. no rub not in full turn not even n the backroads. gained ~3 inches of ride height. was able to take 6 inches of snow np i drove this baby all winter long. Dont hate the steels too much it was 50$ for 4 wheels and the blozzak snow tores were closeout sale 97$ a piece. :)

@Brittania and @SeanMcc23 , I finally got my current wheels and spacers all installed last week.
Honda Forged 19x9.5 ET+60 wheels plus H&R 15mm spacer on all 4 corners.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, size 275/35 19.
Using OEM FL5 suspension damper module.

Looks nice and easy fit, no problem. No rub so far driving in Comfort Mode.

New tire is not much wider than the old one.

The Challenge continues.

@SeanMcc23 ... I think I may have one upped you, brother.

So I went for it. I put 275/45ZR18 Pirelli P Zero summer tires on my new 18x9.0J ET +45 MITA Motorsports FKS wheels.

Setup is still stock OEM FL5 springs / shocks, dampers, and damper module. Also, there are no camber kits insalled.

I think I may have maxxed the chonk.

Full Disclosure:

Even in Sport mode, this setup does rub a little bit.
I have to go easy over bumps and while braking, and while braking and turning, particularly over bumps or dips.

So maybe I don't win this round.

This setup drives really smoothly overall, though.

Cheers.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that if I had mounted 265/45 ZR18 tires on these 18x9.0J wheels, there would be a lot less rubbing in Comfort mode, and
... maybe no rubbing at all in Sport mode.

Don't quote me on that, but maybe someone here will try it...?

... @Brittania ...
How are your tires holding up? I'd love to see someone try a 275/40 ZR19 on a 19x9.5 wheel... Or perhaps, a 285/35 ZR19 tire on a 19x9.5 wheel...? That one is gonna need spacers.

Just sayin'.

My 275/35/19's are my winter setup so they're sitting in the attic right now. I like that size for winter, but I'm not ready to go any bigger right now. I keep debating whether to go lower with some springs, maybe a lip, maybe an intercooler, maybe Canflex....

I love that blue wrap! Great color. I can't believe you got those tires to fit! Hopefully they're chonky enough for you 😆

Thanks!
The blue wrap is from Miracle Coat, and the color is Dory Blue PPF. The white roof, mirrors, and underspoiler are 3M Satin White vinyl.

I know the tires don't look it, but yes, these tires are at "Full Maxx Chonk" for a car...
even for me. Didn't think they would be, but yes, we are there... maybe.
We'll have to see over the next year or so.
